I'm not sure but I think if he would come back, which I think he won't, he will be and stay a Green Bay Packer.

Here's what I think. I don't care. The league will survive without Favre, and I am sure the Pack will too. The Favre talk has become what the Clemens talk was the last few years, tiresome and just boring after awhile.

I agree I dont care if he comes back or not. Aaron Rodgers will step up and the packers gotta move on.

I for 1, hope Farve comes back, or we are in a lot
of years of losing. If Arron Rodgers has proven
anything in the last 3 years, is that he doesn't have what it takes to be an NFL quarterback in this league with any team even as a back up. He should quit instead of putting us through all that
losing.

I think he should ease into and enjoy his retirement.
He certainly has nothing to prove - or need to enhance his accomplishments. I hope he doesn't
sully his reputation.

I think that if brett want to come back the packers should give him the chance to. But instead of giving him the starting nod, he should have to earn it like everyone else. The NFL is all about revenue at what better way is there to make money than to have Favre on the field. Plus anyone who has ever played the game knows when you are done playing you think of what was and could have been if you had stayed in the game. This whole thing may be favres fault but has been totally blown up by the media and they should give the guy a break for being such a great asset to the NFL for the past 17 years.

i agree let the man move on ... its time for a change for both parties.
the man can start on 90% of nfl teams including green bay.
the qb situation is aweful. go to my blog and realize that if you ever loved this guy you would know he still has it in him .
LET HIM PLAY.................

There has to come a time when a man's word has to mean something. I would think Farve of all people would know that. Be a leader stand by your word.

He is a person not a piece of equipment that belongs to the Packers. He has earned thr right to play if he chooses. If the Packers do not want him to start, they should release him and let him play for whoever he wants to. He has certainly earned that priviledge.

PART 2
Give the Drama Queen Crown to Ted Thompson. He loves being in the media. Now we know why Thompson was pushed out of Seattle (worked shortly w/Holmgren) and Holmgren got to stay.
Now, don't ask me how I feel about cocky smart mouth boy, Rogers because his comments lately have not been all that "smart."
Telling the fans, "they better get behind him and back him up like they did with Favre..." He has to prove himself and EARN RESPECT before shooting his mouth off and show what a good leader he can be in the future. And don't ever put yourself in Favre's league without getting out on the field and playing a game!! Do I feel sorry for Rogers - heck no - grow up be the leader Thompson thinks you are. It all comes with the job and that's only if he's not like a porcelain doll getting hurt all the time.
What ever happened to showing up for training camp and seeing who the better player is!!?? Does that not hold true here either?? Does Thompson think he does not have to follow the NFL rules put into place??
And as for McCarthy I never wanted to see him become a yes man. He has proven himself to be a great coach let's hope that keeps up this season. AND NO ONE EVER better blame this media frenzy Thompson started on anyone but Thompson himself. See they do these things in case our season starts out at 0-3. Thinks about it, they'll say it's due to this ongoing story.

Sincerely,

I didn't see anyone complaining or making a media frenzy when Michael Strahan did not give an answer until mid-training camp. At the time Favre was told by Thompson to make a "quick" decision, he was tired and the season just ended. Thompson had to have an answer before the draft. Favre acknowledged his request and gave one. Favre admitted it was too soon and made a mistake. Let the man play. Now that's an honest man, a decent man and one to be respected for asking to be traded so he can play.

Stop the drama Thompson. Stop the embarrassment to Title Town-of Green Bay and most of all, to all the Legends, History, FANS and Favre's Legacy. If Favre plays for a different team it doesn't change all his accomplishments with the Green Bay Packers nor his legacy.

Thompson starts this grievance over a "personal phone call" Favre made to his friend Bevelle. How much of his life do you still want to control Thompson?? And, isn't that illegal wire-taping when a buddy calls a buddy on a personal call?? SHAME - SHAME.

Thompson you are a GM that many of us wanted gone and you are proving why. You are taking Green Bay down and your players too. You are trying to make Favre look bad, but in all due respect you are the one who is bad. If you cannot have it your way having him "hold a clipboard", and don't even go near the "take a pay cut" he's done that over the years just to keep players prior to your sorry butt coming to Green Bay. I've read other articles and family in other states where the perception of you, well, I cannot swear so let's say "not favorable."

If Favre waits until to ask for reinstatement, he might have a job as GM for the Packers because I can guarantee you Thompson won't be there if the Packers are in the toilet in September.

This is just a harbinger of things to come. It's a gigantic pi##ing contest at present with everyone's apparent ego's being bruised in some way. It's somewhat reminiscent of two little kids fighting over who got eat the last slice of pie. When the fact of the matter is the piece of pie was never their's to begin with.

i wonder who would take on this brett, for how long? how many years do you all think he has left in him? sure he was awsome, but, it took the whole team to make him that. he's way too full of hisself.

Did you really think that Brett would really retire, after throwing a interception at home in front of the home town crowd and of all games, the NFC Championship game, I can't belive that the Packers would be that quick to but Aaron Rodgers in, what he played like a minute since he came to the team, Brett is well Brett, and since I am from wisconsin, the second Aaron Rodgers make mistake the crowd at Lamb will let him and the coaching staff in Green Bay know it. Because if the team wants to win many games or win a Super Bowl, they need Brett. So Ted and Mike, use your heads and just let Brett have his starting job back, and let Aaron Rodgers keep taking notes from one of the greatest QB's that played the Game.
