Georgetown lost Vernon Macklin, but wasted little time in replacing him with Julian Vaughn.

Vaughn, who spent his freshman year at Florida State, grew up a short distance from Georgetown and has decided to transfer to the Hoyas.

``I feel like i can get better and take my game to the next level and pursue my basketball goals," The 6-foot-9 Vaughn told Dave Telep of Scout.com.
