Boston
College point guard Tyrese
Rice will return for his senior season.
``I’m coming back,” Rice said. “I’ve never been a loser in my life and I felt
like it wouldn’t have been right for me to leave after a 14-17 season. We’ve
got a lot more to prove.”
Rice averaged 21 points and five assists per game and had one of the season’s
most impressive individual performances when he scored 46 points in a loss to North Carolina.
He was second in the ACC in scoring behind National Player of the Year winner
Tyler Hansbrough and fourth in the league in assists.
``I wasn’t satisfied with this year,” Rice added. “I felt good about the team
last year, but I feel a lot better this year.”
VINEY LEAVING OREGON
Oregon freshman wing Drew Viney got his release on
Thursday.
Viney didn’t play a ton this past season and only averaged 1.5 points and 1.2
rebounds.
