The NBA’s goal in pushing
back the date of the Orlando Pre-Draft camp was to try and get more of the
fringe first-round guys to participate.
It hasn’t exactly worked.
The NBA has, according to sources, invited 10 players down for “physicals”.
These are considered the likely lottery picks who could only hurt their draft
stock by playing in Orlando later this month.
The following is a list of the players
who, according to sources, have been invited down as “physical-only” guys:
Greg Oden, Ohio State
Kevin Durant, Texas
Brandan Wright, North
Carolina
Al Horford, Florida
Corey Brewer, Florida
Joakim Noah, Florida Jeff Green, Georgetown
Roy Hibbert, Georgetown
Julian Wright, Kansas
Mike Conley Jr., Ohio State
Spencer Hawes, Washington
While the NBA was hopeful that the next tier of prospects would choose to
participate because there are fewer days to workout for teams prior to the June
28 Draft, nothing has changed.
Guys like Nick Young, Thaddeus Young and Josh McRoberts – as well as many other
players who are considered mid- and late-first round picks – have decided to
sit it out.
FOXSports.com has learned that the following underclassmen were invited, but do
not intend to participate in the showcase for NBA teams, which begins on May
29.
Nick Young, USC
Thaddeus Young, Georgia Tech
Josh McRoberts, Duke
Jason Smith, Colorado State
Arron Afflalo, UCLA
Marcus Williams, Arizona

Seniors who were invited, but have chosen
not to play:

the 60-plus players who intend to play in Orlando:

Question, its been awhile since I followed the draft. Do the worst team in the NBA pick first or is it still set up to put the bottom seven in a ping pong ball draw out of the barrel ? Can some one tell me.
"yea. what about alando tucker, acie law IV, and lofton from tennessee?"
isnt lofton returning to tennessee for his senior season? seems like i heard that somewhere a couple weeks ago. that would explain why he's not on any of these lists.
Does anybody read before they write? This is a list of confirmed attendees not who was invited. Alando Tucker, Wisconsin and Acie Law, Texas A&M are under the big bold header marked
UNABLE TO CONFIRM WHETHER THEY WILL PARTICIPATE OR NOT
Geez, I hardly ever comment but I couldn't help myself this time.
Watch out for Lasme from UMass, he will be a dominant force at this camp. His stock will increase because he will show he can play. This kid is for real!
Surprised some guys on the bubble who may not get drafted are not on here. Guys like Ebekwe and Strawberry from MD, and Mustafa Shakur from AZ, among others.
Alonda will best be serve by not showing up and letting his body of work, work for him. Acie Law the same. These guys are proven and may contribute alot next season in the league. Alonda appears to be a role player but really needs to work on his team defense, ballhandling, and perimeter shot. Acie Law is the sleeper pick if he falls off the radar he will be a force to reckon with. Bucks get the first pick, darft Oden and trade Bogut for the rights to Acie law. cause Mo Williams is nothing but a good back.
Aaron Brooks all day hope the blazers draft him future all star. GO DUCKS ps florida lucky they put somthin in Tajuan Porters gatorade, we will be back next year.
you know what this is BULL#### how the heck does Alando Tucker Kam Taylor and F*%@ Acie Law IV not invited they were top players this season and baseiclly carried their teams on their backs and you guys are sitting there wondering about Josh McRoberts the #### who didn't like playing in Duke one of the best college programs in the history of hoops?!? i feel ripped off right now
How do you not have tre kelley from south carolina in predraft camp he recieved the best point guard award that dee brown recieved last year and he averaged 18 a game
WILL SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ABOUT 80% OF THE UNDER CLASSMAN TO GO BACK TO COLLEGE? MOST WONT GET DRAFTED AND MANY OF THE FEW WHO WILL GET DRAFTED WILL END UP IN THE 2ND ROUND. VERY FEW 2ND ROUND PICKS MAKE TEAMS! TELL THEM TO GET THAT DEGREE! THEY CAN GO PLAY EUROPE BALL NEXT YEAR TOO, ITS NOT GOING ANYWHERE. BUT THE DEGREE HELPS WHEN THEY COME BACK TO THE USA BROKE. MOST DONT MAKE IT...FEW GO TO EUROPE, EVEN LESS TO NBDL.
EDUCATION LASTS LONGER THAN EVEN A HALL OF FAME CAREER.
AFOS RULES------ KUDOS MY MAN. Thank you for writing what I have been thinking ever since I read that Shawn Pruitt of the University of Illinois was putting his name in for the draft. I almost fell off my chair when I read that considering the SILLY SON OF A BUCK could hardly get up and down the court three times in a row without having to take a rest.
Back to AFOS RULES comments. AFOS hit it on the head when he said that the EURO BALL and what not would be there after their senior year. This is absolutely correct, but AFOS RULES didn't write about what happens behind the scenes. All of these NBA wannabe's and never will be's all have their "POSSE'S" and their families egging them on, telling them that they are the greatest, and trying to persuade the players that they will be drafted high and will make a Zillion dollars when they get drafted. It happens all over the place. The NBA and the NCAA have put in as many safeguards as can be put in and still give the athletes their rights...but these safeguards will never be able to protect against GREED, STUPIDITY and the inability for these athletes to face grim reality. Thank you AFOS RULES for pointing out the facts.
u should invite quin humphrey of ysu if u r going to invite deshun woods. very underated going to be the surpise of the draft get him down there and u will see.
Notice that only 2 seniors from the Pac 10 are participating. And 4 are boycotting, west coasters need to figure out that the Pac 10 is a bunch of softies and it shows every year in tourney time. UCLA will never win a championship with West Coast players, the best Bruin ever(Kareem) is from the East Coast. Its because they are so spoiled and hyped up before they blossom they get lost in the shuffle. If UCLA played in the SEC they wouldve been 9-7 in conf play. Get tougher West Coast cuz u r playing yourselves not the League!!!
what happen to Blake Schilb? he was invited and is participating, well if i do say so myself. to many people have "slept" on this kid....WAKE UP EVERYBODY!!! do ur thing boy!!!
