Forget all the media coverage of Robert Horry's pick that sent David West to the floor in pain during game 6. Forget that the Hornets are an upstart young team with no experience. Forget that the Spurs are the defending champions. Forget all the other endless media coverage of everything but the game itself. Neither of those things will have any bearing on who wins tonights game.
No it will simply come down to one thing and one thing only. Whoever makes the least amount of mistakes wins this game simple as that. Now mistakes can include a few different things such as turnovers, fouls, missed free throws are just a few things that come to mind.
That'll be the only story to tell once the buzzer sounds to end this game. Which team made the least amount of mistakes won this game.Well that is for the first few minutes until the talk is then directed towards the Western conference final showdown with the L.A. Lakers.
Yesterdays practice for the Hornets was as normal as it gets. Players joked and watched a usual one on one pickup game between Janero Pargo and rookie Julian Wright. In other words every player was loose and if nervous it didn't show. Doesn't mean that they aren't taking the Spurs serious. I'm pretty sure they are, because if not then they lost already.
So in a few short hours tip off will begin and I for one just want to see a good hard fought game by both teams. One in which we don't have to listen to endless talk of the whole Horry/West non-story. What has happened is done and over with. It's time to just go out and do what you love to do and that's play great team ball and win.
Goodluck to the Spurs and it's fans. Even better luck to the Hornets and it's faithful fans as well. This will be one heck o####ame 7, that is if the refs don't make it one sided for either team, which would just totaly blow.
One nice thing about the refs tonight. Javie, Bravetta, and don't remember the other one. Which is probably a good sign. Refs should not be noticed. They should just be part of the background of the game.
These two guys have been around a long time and they are not intimated by superstars, coaches, home crowds, or much of anything else.
And they don't seem to hold grudges like some of them. At least I hope they don't. Javie is the only ref I ever remember that had the SA crowd chanting Javie Sucks.
And they are pretty level headed, they keep their cool and seem to be able to handle the high emotions in a game 7.
Spursce,
Yeah I just read a piece from a San Antonio writer about Javie. He's a road team friendly ref. which is fine with me as long as he's fair and as consistant as possible with calls. I just want to see a good game not affected by them.
I see you got the new BLEEP symbol for the of a 'contest' reference. That symbol doesn't look as cool. Anyhow, I found it humorous when Jalen Rose said on ESPN recently, when asked who would win, said "It has to be the Spurs". Not that they can't win, but it's like (to him) they should be the only team to win. Personally, I hope NO wins, but it will be a close game (pay attention to the 3rd, of course; the Hornets have trailed in the three prior home games at halftime, then exploded in the 3rd). But I'll choose NO.
Bavetta is a BLEEP and Javie will favor the other team the first time any player even glances in his direction. Just hope it's not a Hornet that looks at him wrong.
Possibly the two worst refs in the league.
Good Luck to both teams but I would say that if Gambit or Spursce has to have his heart broken I pray it won't be the refs and that it's a blowout winner whoever wins. Let's do it!!! NOW!!!!

Downs,
Not quite understanding that first sentence. Jalen Rose is an #### for saying such a thing. He shouldn't be on T.V. anyway. See how he constantly stumbles over his words. Maybe he should just write about sports.
Nique,
Bavetta is alright as far as a ref goes. Then again no ref. is any friend of mine.
yeah goodluck to both teams. I agree let's get the damn thing going already.
I guess you should have been worried about Ginobli. My advice to any team that plays the Spurs. ALWAYS be worried about Ginobli. You just never know when he is going to go off. And since he can hit from the outside, he does not have to get into the paint to score. Those kinds of players are just hell to guard.
Reason I said that was because he has been big this whole series but we still won three games at home. I guess though you are right. No excuses you guys just out played and out coached us.
The perfect breakfast as I see it.
