The chants of SEC could be heard coming loud from the mouths of Tiger fans. Showing the rest of the country just how much we love and respect SEC football. Although this should come as no surprise to anyone here as it's evident how we always defend it and also represent it. I've only been on this blog site for a few months now and I have been accused a number of times of bieng a homer, thing is I am. I've defended while teams from the SEC have represented it well. As can be seen by the bowl record of 7-2.
To top it of for the second season in a row and 4 times in ten years, I do believe it shows we are just playing down right better football in the South at this time. You may not agree and that's your right, it's not only my opinion but I think the past 10 years of SEC football speaks for itself.
LSU represented the SEC well lastnight and I am very proud of my team. When it seemed like OSU was going run away with it they settled down and played like it wasn't nothing new to them. Actually it wasn't anything new. Four times LSU was down in some great games against a tough opponent and won all four. QB matt Flynn stayed poised and did well in this game. It was also very nice to see them shower coach Pellini with the Gator-aid at the end of the game. He gave LSU three great years and called an exellent defensive game lastnight. Nebraska is very lucky to get a coach like him. He'll have all college football fans respecting and taking notice of the Husker program.
Les Miles also did a wonderful job lastnight. One of the things I heard the most was that Tressel was going to out coach Miles. Guess we found out different didn't we. Miles out coached him on every point. When LSU was down 10 nothing he huddled his team together and talked to them to settle them down and let them know we been here befor. Between Miles and O. C. Gary Crowton they moved the ball on offense rather smoothly.
LSU became the first team to win the BCS Title twice since it was implemented 10 years ago. They also became the first 2 loss team to win both the BCS Title and the AP Title. Pretty remarkable season for the Tigers and no matter whether you agree they belonged or not. Whether they are the true champions in your mind. The fact remains they are and also to be respected.
I am all for a playoff system just as you are. Heck I'll even take the plus one game if that's all I can get. For now though the BCS is what we have and until the Big10, Pac10,Rose Bowl and ABC officials pull their heads out their rear ends it's what we have. I'll end this with a Geaux Tigers and Geaux SEC!
The perfect breakfast as I see it.
