Catfight this Saturday....

This Saturdays game between the visiting Tigers of LSU and the Kentucky Wildcats should be as good as promised. Last week Fla. exposed a weakness in LSU's defense so look for the Wildcats to watch much game film and see what they can do to try and use that to their advantage. Kentucky has a few chinks in their armor also on the defensive side. S. Carolina pretty much did whatever they wanted to and it worked for them. Kentucky's offense is very eficient though. QB A. Woodson post a rating of 154.31 and leads the SEC in passing yds with 1,536 and is also the highest scoring team in the SEC avg. 42.7 points a game. That is the strength of Kentucky's offense they can throw the ball and do it well. LSU's defense is top in the nation even though it took a big hit from Fla. mainly QB Tim Tebow. Led by defensive end Glen Dorsey who is a nightmare for any offensive lineman to have to handle, he's very fast and strong. Kentucky will have to find a way to keep him in check. In the secondary LSU is led by S. Craig Steltz. He leads the SEC in interceptions with 4. He's also a bruising hitter who can pop the ball loose from a reciever who doesn't see the hit coming. Reversing angles now, on the defensive side for Kentucky it can be a long day if the D-line can't stop LSU's rushing attack. They have a multitude of talented backs led by Jacob Hester. He's not only strong and fast but has the heart of a champion. Last week against Fla. Hester became the first back to post a 100 yd game against the Gator defense.  Then there's the little pocket rocket Trindon Holliday. This kids speed is unreal, and if he gets any open space look out there is no catching up to him. Also Kentucky will have to find a way to stop QB Ryan Periloux who will come in the game a number of times and run the ball effectivly. LSU has no one player on offense who really stands out like Kentucky does, what they do have is a team that gets it done together. That's what the game is all about... teamwork. I look for Kentucky to give LSU some fits and score a couple touchdowns but ultimately the Tigers are just to big and powerful and more hungry than the lil widcats. Should be another great weekend in college football and I can't wait.

Geaux Tigers!!!
