Carson Palmer is the best QB in the NFL.
Oct 24, 2007 | 10:04AM | report this
I don't care what anyone says, the kind of #### Palmer has had to put up with this year and last makes him the best in the NFL. Name one QB who puts up the kind of #### Palmer does and I'll show you a liar.

I'm not gonna spit out stats, I don't need too, Palmer is better than Romo, Garcia, Favre, Hasselback, Eli, and whoever else is having good years. And yes Palmer is better than Manning and Brady. So there I said it. I'm so tired of Palmer getting overlooked because he plays on a horrific team. Manning has undying respect from his players and Brady has the ultimate team. What does Palmer have? Chad Johnson and T.J. What else? Levi sucks, Willie's hurt, Henry is an ####, and Rudi is finally breaking down. And don't even get me started on the defense. They couldn't stop my 90 year-old Greek grandmother who can't speak English. The defense has looked worse than wet toilet paper. So tell me again why Palmer isn't mentioned with the top 2 anymore?

He's my hero, he stands up for himself doesn't let ego maniacs run him and he's not afraid to take the game into his own hands because the coaching staff has their heads so far up their a$s their picking #### out of their teeth. It's amazing how a guy can go from being on his way to the Hall to not even being mentioned as a top QB. Did you know that Palmer, even with a 2-4 record, can still go to the Pro-Bowl? I mean that's freakin amazing.

Look I'm not saying he doesn't need to pick his game up, but what I'm saying is that Palmer went from top 3 to underrated. How? He's easily the most talented and the most strong willed QB in the league given the circumstances. Nobody plays with a group of malcontents like he does. Carson Palmer is the best QB in the league. Period.

You wanna see a QB going through tough times, take a look at Drew Brees in New Orleans. At least Palmer has some certifiable pro-bowlers to hand the ball off and throw to. Brees has the following "weapons" at his disposal: Reggie Bush, Marques Colston, Devery Henderson, Terrance Copper, Lance Moore... need i continue? None of those would i take before TJ Houshmanzadah, let alone Rudi Johnson or Chad Johnson. Both teams are lacking quality offensive linemen and defenses.
Look, im not trying to downgrade Palmer, but he hasnt done enough to be mentioned in the same breath as Manning or Brady. He may very well be as talented as either of them, but he hasn't tallied enough numbers or wins to hang with those two, who are probably the two best to ever thrown the ball.
You make it seem as if Palmer has been labeled as just another guy, but in truth he has not. In anybody's quarterback rankings, he would be either third or fourth on the list. I personally would rank him third on the list based on just performance, but if i were to compile a set of rankings based on talent, i would be hard pressed to not rank Palmer, thanks to being the most accurate deep ball thrower in the league, number one.
Again, he is as talented as they come, but like some other quarterbacks in the past, is not in the best position to showcase his skills.

I love Carson Palmer. I think he is tremendous and still IS a top 3 QB. I would draft him over Tom Brady in any fantasy football league any day and twice on Sundays. But I still can't #### that he is the greatest in the NFL as long as Peyton Manning is still out there. Manning is his own O-Coordinator most of the time, he can put the ball in amazing places (as can Carson). I just can't put Carson above Manning. Above Brady, OK, but not Manning. I know No 2 isn't going to cut it for you, but that is as high as I can go with you there. But you have solid points!

Dude you must be smoking crackto hink Palmer is better than Manning and besides you seem a lil high strung take a xanax my friend and calm down a lil. Palmer is very good and like the two previous comments I would put him anywhere between 3rd or 4th on my list. Now with that said I agree with Chitown about Brees. Here is a guy who has been tops in the league in all but maybe his first two years to now have to deal with what he has got. Now I do not agree with takeing Rudy Johnson over Bush but hey we are all entitled to our opinions even if they are lunatic ones.

WWO, dude, very BOLD prediction! Personally, I think that Palmer's struggles are coming from the fact that him and 85 can't seem to stay on the same page. We'll see if he can comeback from this current slump.

See ya!

lay off the weed dude.....Uh, 27TDs and 2 ints.....Brady is the best (oh 3 SB's too) and hey ####, Brady did more with the least talent around him for the last 5 years!!!.....Manning is a very very close second.....I'd stuill put Palmer in the top 5, but you are seriously an #### if you have anyone in the NFL ahead of Manning and Brady.

So all the current players, former players, people who actually are associated in the NFL are wrong when they say Manning and Brady are the 2 best?
And you're right when you go with a homer pick?
OKAY.

And one can guess that the numbers that the Bengals' offense have put up this season would suggest why they're in dire straights. Ocho cinquo future Hall of Famer my as$. Where's the so called renowned offense that was once so highly spoken of ? And as for the defense it's as porous as a tampon and then some !
If there was any real leadership on that team they wouldn't find themselves in such a malaise.

Tom Brady is the best in the NFL, Peyton is second and I would put Carson third. I love Carson Palmer and considering him the best in the NFL wouldn't be a stretch. Problem is, how does this post convince me that Carson is the best? It doesn't.

No way Palmer is the best. Tom Brady put up great numbers when he had awful WRs, and, though Palmer does put up great numbers, he should! He has Chad Johnson, T.J. Houshmanzada, and Chris Henry (When he comes back). He's a top five guy, but definitely not the best.

MrPressBox, whatever league your in next yer, i gotta join. Only an ####, after seeing what Brady has done this year, would draft Palmer ahead of him. Its one thing to argue who is more talented, but why in the hell would you draft Palmer ahead of Brady in a game where all that matters are numbers, not talent?
