Did y'all see some posts out there that one expresses his or her opinion and other commentors make disparaging remarks on that blog post?? Why is that?? We write to express mostly our opinions, don't we??
I would like to know who has declared open season on bloggers. Who has given another permission to became irate, abusive...calling people morons and the like,,,or worse, ala Steve Wilkos?? While these blogs do offer the opportunity to share opinions, facts, knowledge and other types of information, why do some think that gives them permission to comment with nasty or worse printed language; just because they are "hiding" behind their computers' keyboard??
I would like to meet some of the ones who are guilty of these types of comments...really to see if they have the intestinal fortitude to do this in person. From my long experience in law enforcement, they do not. It is the same in mob violence (riots and the like) anonymity gives one "guts" they would not have in person..even in crowds at sports contests...they feel safe to do whatever they wish.
It is time for all to use some common sense also when composing a post...try not to create controversy, at least not on purpose. Remember the fool or #### who uses derisive and profane comments in responding are proving that they are fools and idiots...one can either delete the comment...or better yet, let the comment stand as evidence.
Fuzz-- I agree its been getting a little out of hand and I appologize for my part in any of the BS thats happend around here lately- ive learned from it and moved on lifes to short to keep harboring ill will toward anybody -- take it easy

I really don't mind someone taking apart what I have said because I'm young and don't always know what I'm talking about or have considered all aspects of the situation.
I don't mind humor or sarcasm in humor.
What I do mind is when they call me names like you're talking about.
fuzz...I 'preciate whutyer sayin'...but ordinarily I jus' ignore 'em or say sumpthin' that makes 'em feel like an #### without callin' 'em names...they're irrelevant either way and usually weed themselves out...no need to validate 'em by responding. really...

But seriously? where is that cut off point? If you clamp it down to much, then you have the happy, shiny, kiss butt comments and nothing more, and that would stink like the cage of an albino ####.

But i think if we could just eliminate the name calling, that would be a great start. But i do back your position, i dont often venture into the nascar section because it seems to be a hot bed for this stuff, and i love nascar, pitty....

fuzz...there's no security at the door like at a night club...that's why we have these issues. people don't need a reason to get on a blog titled "strictly for Packers' fans", only to type
GO DETROIT all over it. it comes with the territory. when stuff like that happens, or when the name calling is so offensive, or even if someone gets on your blog and tears your opinion apart like old newspaper...just let it fly. those you can debate...then debate. but when they don't even deserve a second look...then don't look twice at it.
I just finaly started listening to Gunny and I delete the worst of them. I wrote a blog thinking the humor was clear that it was just in jest along the same lines as Dwindy but just flagrantely absurd and you would not believe the hate I have deleted. Had some fun with some others though.
GameStorm: So true....At one time Fox monitored this site, and others....seems they now rely on self-policing and reporting.....Too many bloggers and too many posts as evidenced by the "whoops ogre" and "service unavailable". Best way is to ignore or delete....if it becomes too bad, report it.....offender will be deleted. Thanks for commenting.

I try and pretty much have great conversations on here. I occasionally will get into a lengthy debate with someone who amuses me however fortunately, the only thing you will ever get out of me is an " okay skippy" once in a while.

There's a name for that Fuzz.......It's called "Internet Balls" which gives a person the ability to say whatever they want without the fear of phyical retaliation.
The comment sections under the Fox Sports postings are full of them..........Faceless and somewhat nameless comments that are immature and often incoherent statements.
Still they are not as annoying as that "cut and paste" guy that comes around once and awhile.........LOL!
