Dan Snyder
Feb 09, 2008 | 5:44PM | report this
It is sad that in this day of big money and free agency, an owner still has the power to ruin an organization. I respect Gibbs more than ever for taking the job and trying his best to bring the Skins out of the cellar. The fact that Marriucci and Fassel were the top contenders( Gmen coordinator used Snyder for contract leverage) is proof that nobody with a legitimate track record wanted to coach for this Al Davis wanna-b! Greg Williams is the winner in this situation. He will go to the Jags and continue to impress GM's all over the league with his style. He took a job in Buffalo nobody wanted and was willing to do the same for the Redskins. Shame on Dan Snyder for dropping him. Williams will put himself in a situation that will allow him to pick and choose the team he wants to lead in the near future. The victims are the players, to include a young offense just beginning to grasp a great coordinators scheme, and a deffense who laid it on the line every week for Greg Williams. The other winners besides Greg Williams is the NFC east. Even if Zorn does a better job than I expect, he is just a Dan Snyder YES man who wont be allowed to make the big decisions needed  to get this team going in the right direction. 6-10 in 08 and last place in the East.

Jim Zorn?

Ok, this is a curve ball choice.
I like it.
We always need new blood in the head coach corp.
It's not like King Snyder couldn't afford a name brand coach. The Redskins chose to hire in a diffent way. At least it wasn't Parcells.

slshusker i agree, new blood is good. But at least look for a good blood type. Dallas had a few candidates, as well as the Patriots. The issue is that nobody wants to coach for Snyder.
