J D, Mellisa and Taylor Gibbs
Jun 15, 2008 | 10:57AM | report this

Just watched the story of JD and Melissa Gibbs little boy Taylor having lukemia. What a touching fathers day story. He is in remission now and we all pray for him.

To know while they were going through this in their private lives, JD had to manage JGR and make the decisions for the company which would impact the families of his 450 employees.

His sense of duty to them was part of their decision to switch to Toyota for the long term survival of the company and the future of all of his employees families too.

So happy fathers day JD, God bless you and your family.

This is a sad thing to hear about on what's supposed to be a happy day. Hopefully all goes well for him.

Do you have a link somewhere to the story?

Story was a good one. To see JD almost loose it to the point his wife at one point had to finish his sentence.....Brought tears to my eyes....Bless their hearts....to share that with an entire nation. That little boy is the same age as my little girl...........I don't think I could be as strong as them....To see all those Pictures in the basement for Taylor to be able to see people.....That was really neat.....

elad, when Taylor was first diagnosed, Coach was still with the Redskins. He had cards printed up with the explanations of what Talor would be going through on one side and a prayer for Taylor on the opposite side. They are beautiful cards. Coach handed them out to people and asked for prayers. The strength of the entire Gibbs family and the strength of their faith always is impressive to me. Thanks for posting this.

It was a touching story that TNT gave of this family. Their strength comes by faith. And without faith there is no hope. And without hope where would man be?

Great post on this family.
