ballsy picks I like 'em, though I have to go with:
Braves - no way.
Yankees - just barely, but no.
Sox - None!
Steelers - they're in.
Colts with Vinatieri - Yup.
Detroit - falls apart they're shooting prowess was greatlly exagerrated by the off. rebounding skills of Ben.
Italy - Loses 2-0.
Northside...Braves will pick up some relief help. There offense is getting back into order with Giles starting to pick up as the leadoff hitter. The Sox have to have at least one with the rules currently in place. That's all I see them having after this year.
The Braves are always scary. The Smoltz trade talk has me very worried about them - whether they are going to purge the line-up. Do you really think they can catch the Mets? Wildcard is a possibility, though their are a couple of teams who are playing very well.
The Braves don't need to trade Smoltz. For what? Prospects? They have more than they can handle in their farm system. That's why I always just laugh when they bring up trading Andruw or Smoltz. They are a few relief pitchers and a lead off hitter from being a dangerous team. Giles is trying to stay afloat and look what it's done to the offense. Just imagine having someone who is the prototypical leadoff hitter.
The Braves will make the playoffs! Why does eveybody always forget that they are a second half team every year they come back and dont say its not going to happen because they are to far back. Last yeat the astos were 10 back at the allstar break and I think they went to the world series! Besides if you play the teams in your division 19 times all you need is a good two weeks and you can be right back in the race!
