I am the Luckiest

I am the Luckiest

I was born of cool parents, and I had two cool sisters growing up.

Later my parents became attached to two cool step parents. My step mom has two children who are cool, and they have cool spouses.

I have a cool wife and two cool daughters, and a fun son and another child on the way. Maybe two?

I was born in one of the most blessed countries on the earth.

Great state of Indiana.

Attended cool public schools.

And colleges.

Spent two cool years down in Chile on a church mission.

Spent two semester abroads out of the country as a BYU student.

Returned to Indiana after the Utah experience for two cool years.

Taught two years of high school in California, and met my wife in that time. We also had our first child at the end of the second year.

Attended two cool years of Masters program at UCLA.

Spent another two years teaching adult school in San Bernardino.

Have had a great time moving about the country since.

Chile again, Virginia, two training times away from the family in Missouri and Arizona.

And my teams keep me entertained, if not winning championships.

And my knees are healthier than the most dominant sports person in the world, and I am 37.

And I am grateful. And lucky.

And the Celtics are too.

Cool post Ed.

If you were to come to my door where I live and you came with a friend, how would I know it was you and what would you be wearing.

like the old saying goes, "it's better to be lucky than good"

It's better to be appreciative and grateful, right?

Even the Lakers and Tiger should be very grateful. They are doing OK.

Steve: Yer darn tootin, tanks.

Marty: IS that a riddle?

I am 6'1" and currently weigh in at 200ish and my hair is really short.

Is that what you mean? And years ago people thought that I looked similar to a couple different actors...

But it probably no longer applies.

I was just joyfully playing about if I were to meet you would you come with missioary clothes on or with your Indiana Hoosiers shirt lol.

I have two Mormon misionary kids a couple of places down and they always have on white shirts, ties and dark slacks. They are really nice people. I would only play like this on your edclinchsaint guise rather than ed clinch.

Man, you are one savvy customer, MWalker!

Nicely played. I dressed that way for two years, as I have discussed way back when, from November 1989 to October 1991.

Now I only do it part time, but without the tag.

If those Elders give you any trouble let me know. They only want to baptize you. Or simply share their knowledge.

I might have an old picture of me extant on the WEB somewhere. Back in 1999 I posted a picture of me holding one of my nieces on LDSSO.com

An LDS (Mormon) dating service! I used it for three months and got some good experience from it.

Search for me by name.

Also, I am listed for a 1997 movie on some movies board.

Wow, you write an excellent blog like this and then you forget to mention how lucky you are to have friends that really think the world of you. Marty and I are going to get you for that.LOL As always, much respect to you. Bobbie/vol

ABOUT ME

edclinchsaint
I like (am obsessed with) the big US sports of football, basketball and baseball. And I love how they expand globally. I am fascinated by World Cup soccer, Olympics and certain tennis matches. Oh, yeah, and I will talk your ear off when it comes to religion, politics, right, wrong, demography, history and truth. Blog on and blog it. Uh, also I have a Foxsports blog called papaclinch'si
t and that was the original, and this was created as a mistake and then a parallel world for more spiritual topics on occasion. More BYU here, more IU over there... Make sense? I love both schools with an odd type of crazed loyalty... Hard to explain. Thus the blogging. Keeps me out of trouble, maybe?
