Have Faith....the United States hasn't won the gold medal at the Pan Am games since Michael Jordan in 1983, this time we have d j white and wayne Ellington, we feel, that Team USA have a chane to win the gold at the Pan American games.

Ed, it's getting tougher and tougher for USA to win in international competition. We typically send an all-star team with a few weeks together against a group of players that have been a team for years. The talent level is too good around the world to overcome that.

BTW, I need an e-mail address for the bloggers poll. I've got close to 25 people signed up, and it'll be a bunch of work. This simplifies it somewhat. I can guarantee that your e-mail address won't be displayed. You could create a yahoo or hotmail account just for this. Sorry if this precludes you from participating, man don't you hate rules. I know you're a big CFB fan, and follow teams from all over the country. I'd love for you to participate. Let me know.

ABOUT ME

edclinch
I have lived in a few different sports areas and I am faithful to these places and their passions, give or take. I was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana (1970-1989). Bob Knight was a central figure. I then lived in Chile for two years, where soccer became more of a presence on my global map. After returning to the Hoosier state one year, 1992, I became more aware of college football for a five year stint in Provo, Utah (1993-1997). BYU Cougar football! I made another return to Indiana from 1997 to 1999, and then spent the last six years in southern California, minus the last six months of 2005, in southern Chile again. And I got back yesterday, UPDATE:Now in Loudoun Cty, Northern VA! I am in the South! I love sports enough to think that they matter...Some
how.
