I am a huge Vikings fan. I could not be happier that Wilf traded and ponied up the dough for Allen. This trade not only makes the front 4 the best, but it makes the linebaker core just below average to slightly above average and the DB's from slightly above average to what could be the best in the league. Now the corners don't have to cover soooo long while the line puts pressure on, and the LB's don't have to blitz all the time because the front 4 will put pressure on and get sacks. The one guy who is the happiest could be Ray Edwards and Kevin Williams. Now, the problem is the offense. The running game is the best in the NFL. Between Adrian Peterson, Chester Taylor and the feet of T Jack and the "Minnesota Moving Company" leading the way...more records will fall in the future. If somehow someway...T Jack can figure out how throw efficiently. Look at some past Super Bowl teams...Baltimore - Trent Dilfer...Tampa Bay - Brad Johnson...there are teams that can get to and win a Super Bowl with a less than spectacular QB. Berrian will help and Rice needs to step up. it will be up to the "offensive genius" that is Brad Childress to get his young QB to play above his level and out of his mind to get the Vikes well into a playoff run....SKOL VIKES
I feel as though the Vikings have to build confidence in Jackson to be their leader and design more plays for his style of offense. A successful Vikings offense would be a Chester run right, Adrian run left, and a Jackson short pass/scramble for the first down...the defense should be solid now.
But as a Jaguars fan I will have to debate with you on the best rushing attack in the NFL. Its a toss up in my opinion. Thank you very much for Mike Tice and "hope he's a better receiver" Troy Williamson..good luck this season!
Im game for the best rushing attack. Jaguars now have Troy Williamson to block for the running back down the field. I hope Tice works well for you too.
Jackson is still young. Give him some time to develop. With some better recievers he should be fine. Childress feels he is better at this point of his career than McNabb was so thats got to be a positive. Jacksons got the arm to throw it all over the lot, he just needs to improve decision making.
I still don't like that they didn't take an OT high in the draft. I thought that taking Cook was very stupid and I still do. And he's proven me right!!! What kind of idiots try to turn a center into a OT? And I still can't understand why they HAD to take a safety in the 2nd round??? Taking an OT or game breaking wr would've helped them alot then a safety will. Get someone who can block alot better then Cook can. They never should've taken him in the 1st place. Now that we drafted Sullivan, we won't have to try him at Center and see him become a bust then too. Booty can give us a different look on offense with more of a tradiational passing attack then TJ would.
