TV Execs don't know baseball
Jul 29, 2006 | 9:28AM | report this
You can't have a game of the week this weekend and it not be the Twins and Tigers.  Fox and ESPN what are you thinking?!?!?!??!  You are insane not to have the two hottest teams in baseball playing.  Granted, no Liriano, Santana or Bonderman on the mound, this is still the best of the weekend.  A couple of wins and the Twins are back in the race...a couple of wins and the Tigers can separate themselves.  Instead, they have the Cardinals and Cubs.  WHY????  Just because Joe Buck's old man, rest in peace Jack you were the best, was with the Cards forever we have to visit a team totally out of it and a team that is barely in it.  The Twins are in 3rd in the AL Central and would be leading the NL Central.  Hey you stupid Execs, GET IT RIGHT JUST ONCE!!!!!

I do agree with you, but granted both networks has 2 weeks both each telecast to change games, now ESPN took the best game thay thought had the most action which was LA Angels @ the Red Sox, which was the right call to the the 2 biggest markets they can find to make money and the same is for FOX, if through they had 2 teams on from the LA Market, they could have took the Nationals vs the Dodgers off and put on the Tigers @ the Twins, but which again its all about the big markets in the MLB and not about the best teams or best matchups unlike the other sports, but I also understand the networks fell like they want to make the most money on the big market teams, but its still not right for both networks not to have the the Tigers and the Twins on.

It's called being in a small market....seriously how many people actually want to see the Twins take on the Tigers.... compared to a Yankee, Red Sox, or Dodger game? Tigers and Twins can't even make sell outs in there own stadium so why should they be the big ticket on Saturday
