This is for the entire Raider Nation and all the haters and wannabe's !!! Look out in 08' baby cuz here we come!! The off season has been really generous to us. The Draft was not so bad itself. At first i was really pulling for a defensive player, but the impact tht DMF will have on this offense, I think, will be pretty damn good. DMF was rated as the top player in the entire draft as far as skills go. After a while of soaking up the fact that our offense was in need of some explosiveness, and the fact that our offseason pick ups really took care of some of the major needs on our D, I began to smile. Why you ask?? It is for the simple fact that the Raiders are really looking towards the future. With JRuss and DMF, not to mention Fargas and Bush ( not sure if Jordan will be here at the beginning of the season ) our offense is starting to look pretty damn dangerous. The offensive line needs to step up a bit and make way for these RBs. JRuss needs one, mabye two years at most to get really comfortable with the WRs and the RBs. This coming year will be a statement year for us. All the money that was spent, all the #### that certain media heads have been talking, all of these issues will be put to rest. I have been a Raider fan my whole life, and as excited as I was when we had our superbowl run, i'm starting to get that feeling again! Now i'm not talking superbowl this year, or even in the next 2 or 3 years, but mark my words . . . . I won't be surprised if we get to the playoff is 2010, mabye even 09' depending on this years performance. Raider Nation, we are looking at a new class of Oakland Raiders and it is looking GOOD!!
I am in full agreement with the Raiders making a HUGE impact on the NFL and the AFC West in particular.... With the new additions and coaching we will be great....
i am in a bit of disagreement with ya 505... our o line with the skills of tom cable coaching, will have our running game in the top 5 regardless of who carries the ball. also the protection is going to be even better than last year, and it wasnt that bad.... i am seeing 21-28 pts per game as we were doing 17 pts average last year with NO qb and no mcfadden...
I am Broncos fan, but I will say... I hope they improve. The best games are the ones where both our teams are fighting tough, and the rivalry is fierce.
I'm afraid old Al has gone for flash and measurables again rather than meat and potatoes, and I'd be worried about both your lines, but like I say, I hope both teams improve dramatically over last year, make the games ultra-intense and important again!
i was too excited about the raiders SB run, and EVEN MORE EXCITED WHEN OUR DEFENSE LAYED THE SMACK DOWN!!!! hope we dont rest our starters when we lpay the last game!!!!! maybe we will see the raiders int he SB 2025!!!!!

Either way the o line will have to give JRuss some time, I think they did a pretty good job in making hole for fargas and co. The key word is TIME . . . time for JRuss to decide whether to throw or run or throw it away. Last year was an improvement to the year before, and I think this year will also be an improvement to last year. But the question remains, how much of an improvement? If its a 5-11 year, not to good. I would like to see at least a 8-8 or better. I think we have the skills but like I said, it is a young backfield with Russ and MCF. Either way I can't dissagree with you Kid. I hope were looking at 21-28 pts a game. That gives our D something to fight for.
I think playoffs this year or the latest next year. If our defense plays the way they did two years ago it will be a 9 to 11 win season because of our improved offense. is it just me or does DMF resemble marcus allen with some of his fluid moves. JUST WIN BABY!
I am a life long Raider fan. Really, I am a fan of LA teams. Since the Raiders were once an LA team in the 80's I just stayed with them throughout the years. Die hard Dodgers and Lakers fan. It's kind of weird though, I have 3 older brothers and they are Steeler fans! Go figure. Guess I am the black sheep in that sense. Oh well GO Raiders! Just Win Baby!!!
