Take Your Hit and Runs Elsewhere
Oct 29, 2007 | 5:46PM | report this
Is there anything worse than the hit and run blogger? I have seen numerous blogs on this site where someone posts something absolutely controversial and just when i get worked up enough to drop a comment, i see the writer has disabled the comment option. If you are gonna take time to write an article and post in an online forum like FoxSports, odds are you wanna get some feedback. If not, why post at all. Just had to voice my opinion, because these hit and runs just get under my skin.

Agreed, but a fair percentage of the stuff that gets posted seems to be just for the sake of stirring the pot....

It's more frustrating if they actually are a good blogger and post something decent on a worthy subject, but still disappear into the blogswamp before realizing they are supposed to turn on comments.

Some bloggers will let them know through Fox mail, but usually if they don't know they have a comments on/off option, they don't know they have Fox mail either.

The way I look at it, if I post to my blog, why wouldn't I want comments? My opinion may very well be different than yours, but at least the comments allow for a discussion. Otherwise it's a monologue, and that benefits no one.
