What Kind Of Nut Arrives For Work 90 Minutes Early?
May 06, 2008 | 8:48AM | report this
I do.

Well, at least when I'm on Denver time and live in Phoenix.   I spaced and thought 2PM was 3PM.

Fortunately, I had my camera with me.

The Dbacks hadn't taken the field for BP yet.  So here's what an empty Chase Field looks like.

And when the team made their way out, I got some shots too.

Arriving over an hour-and-a-half early for work isn't so bad here.

LOL My mother gets to work 90 minutes early because she's the type that wants to make sure everything is "ready to work". LOL that's why this blog caught my eye although I am not a baseball fan.

In Tulsa Oklahoma where I live we do not have a major league baseball team but we have the Drillers who are a very successful minor league team. You can't go in any store even the grocery store without Driller shirts and hats in your face. A guy asked me out on a date to a Driller game once and I almost said no but went anyhow.

The Drillers have a very nice stadium on the fairgrounds and these pictures remind me of how exciting the atmosphere was. I didn't know what was going on but I had never seen what these photos show. The scoreboard, the empty field, the people coming in, the players practicing before the game and then all the screaming and yelling and the really good cotton candy. LOL. It was fun.

I had a good-paying job that was a pain in the BLEEP. I had winters and snow. I had high taxes and fees for everything. Phoenix is also a great city. They don't nickel-and-di
