As we all know monopoly is back at McDonalds. We all know Boardwalk and Park Place are worth a million bucks if you have both pieces. It works like this though so the odds of you wining the million bucks are slim to none. On 1 half of the country they have Boardwalk and the other half gets Park Place. I have Park Place so I was thinking that if my buddies on the west coast has Boardwalk we can put the pieces together and split the million bucks 50/50. I clearly have a lot of time on my hands so I got to thinking. Being that sports season is over unless you watch baseball or dare I say soccer or think that Nascar is a sport what do these guys do in there free time. Then I thought well even though they are big stars maybe what if they go into forums like this one and see what we say and even make a blog name to disguise themselves and make a comment because we do have random people come through and make a comment then vanish into the night to never be seen again. This could be possible. So I came up with this.

Na Na Na Na Nana Na Na Heyyy good bye. Ladies and gentlemen today was a great day for me. Today Buffalo was eliminated from the playoffs and it was great. Lets Go Buffalo gave me so much #### that the Avs suck and that Buffalo was so much better. Granted they made it to the playoffs and we didnt but now they have been knocked out of the playoffs. So that means I was right and they couldnt win the big one and it doesnt matter if they made the playoffs. You can go to the playoffs as many times as you can but if you dont win the Stanly Cup then the playoffs mean nothing. Absolutly nothing. Then Mr Buffalo had the nerve to tell me that Buffalo earned it and when the Avs won the cup they paid for it. Are you kidding me? Lets GO Buffalo did you see the roster when they won the cup? Joe Sakic Peter Foresberg, Ray Bourque, Patrick Roy. Do I need to keep going? The Avalanche never had to pay for the cup, they had nothing but the best talent on the team. Pay for the cup what a joke. Buffalo your team needs to hit the golf course and guess what? Your team gets the #### ones because all the good courses are taken. Whew I feel a lot better that I got that off my chest. Dont tell me Buffalo is better and my team paid for it.

I forgot to add because I was so excited that it was a girl I didnt tell the story. When we were taking the pictures she mooned us 2 times and moved her arm to cover her face and the dr went to go and take a picture of her chillin and right as soon as she took the picture the baby kicked me really hard and we got a great shot of her foot. We know on her right foot she has all 5 toes. She got mad at us for moving her so she wouldnt stay still and the dr said she was going to be active.
Today is all about contracts. First we have Mike Shanahan. He extended his contract through the 2011 season. I think he needs to sign a lifetime contract. He still has many years of coaching in him. He will tie Bill Cower in coaching 1 team for so long with 15 years and I see him extending his contract after 2011. Then we have Joe Sakic. He agreed to a 1 year deal with the Avs. He is year to year because he likes it that way and he can evaluate how he feels at the end of the season. And after last nights win I think he kows the team has something special they just need to show it. Not just when it comes down to the wire at the end of the season. If the Avs played like they did at the end of the season all year the Avs would be unstopable. This will mark Joes 19th season with the Avs. He has been with them since they were in Canada.
Well my hockey season just ended. The Avs lost 4-2. Unless the Flames lose we are done for and right now its 2-0. So I think it is safe to say that the Avalanche will be trading the hockey sticks for golf clubs. This hasnt happened before how did the Avs not do it? I know they messed up and let the season slide but they made a hell of a run, and I am still proud of them. Well maybe next year.
Now that I can breathe the Avalanche won tonight 3-1. So now they are only 3 points behind the Flames. And tonight it looks like the Flames really dont want to win. The Avalanche have only 3 people to thank for the win, Stastny, Sakic and Hejduk. Stastny and Sakic made an assist each but it was Hejduk that made all 3 goals. I would have thrown my hat at him but I wasnt at the game. So I say he should get Star of the Month. He scored a goal in the first 25 seconds in the first period. Think he was trying to make a statement? Then 6 minutes into the 3rd period he scored again then 4 minutes later did it again and the defense was able to keep the score 3-1 for the win. I am following the Flames game and right now the score is 4-2 in the 3rd and guess what its not the Flames who have the 4 goals. Wait this just in the Flames lost 4-3.
Well the Avs did good last night beating the Flames 4-3. Infact in was so good of a win that I almost fell out of my chair and I am pretty sure people in China heard me scream with excitement. But with 3 games left and with them having a 5 point lead somethings need to happen. Of course the Avs have to win the last 3 games but the Flames need to lose to. But there is mre that needs to be done. Peter Budaj needs to work on his goal tending if you see a puck comming at you from 130 ft you should be able to save it. For the next 3 games as much as I hate to say it one of them atleast needs to go into over time for a win for the extra point. That would help gets points. The way they are playing they are showing they want to make it to playoffs. Granted its there fault they are in the position they are in but they are making a comeback. Dont rule them out yet.
Well where do I begin. The Avalanche won tonight 6-3 and the Flames lost 4-2. The Avalanche are clearly making a statement that they are ot out of the playoffs now only trailing behind 6 points. With 11 games left the Avalanche have plenty of time to knock out the Flames.
Everbody asks me how i feel about Todd Bertuzzi becoming a Red Wing and will it bring back the old rivalry between the two teams. I have only one answer for that. Yes it will. I have included a clip of what is going to happen starting next season if the Avalanche dont make it to the playoffs this year. Hypothetically speaking. Enjoy this is what hockey is all about. And in my opinion this will best the best game fight in Avalanche- Red Wing history. Yes its sports related. Of course anybody who follows hockey knows that Scott Parker was traded back to the Avalanche. If you didnt know now you know. I would like to say welcome back to the old friend who helped win the Avalanches last cup. Does this mean that we could be onto something to rebuild the team that somewhere down the line fell apart? I read something about Patrick Roy a few weeks ago about him fighting and some mess. It made me think. Hes still got it. I wonder when he is comming back. I know thats a pipedream. Its as big of a pipedream as Peter coming home. I wonder how long it will take before he realizes that Denver is where he belongs. Im not getting excited for the playoffs. I have came to terms with the fact that the chances of them going are slim to non. Granted they won last night 3-2 against the Blue Jackets, but I am not wetting my pants over it. They should be wining all the time. They have the talent. They just arent using it. It would also help if we could stay healthy. Defenseman Karlis Skrastins will miss about a week and a half due to a knee sprain he aquired last saturady against the Kings. Defenseman Jordan Leopold is out for 4 weeks with fractured wrist. Defenseman Petrice Brisebois is out for the season with a back injury that made him get surgery. I think I have figured it out. We are bringing back some old players and other teams are cheating. Thats why we are having to get other defenseman. They are all cheating. They are out to get us.
Ok I know that teams arent cheating. I am kidding, but it would make ssense as to why are guys are droping like flies. I had to make some excuse why they are sucking it up right now. As well as create a theory that we are rebuilding the team.
Damn those Avs of mine. Losing doesnt get you to the playoffs, winning does. The Avalanche lost Sunday night to Edmonton 4-3. Now the Avalanche are tied for first in the Northwest Division. The Avalanche havent allowed a score since February 28 at home. So where was Peter Budaj? Does he have a twin we dont know about? The Avs were in the lead 2-1 in the first period and then Edmonton stepped up their game scoring in every period, while the Avs would only score one more time in the third. But then when it came to the shoot out Budaj let one slip through from Samsonov. While Dwayne Roloson saved all three shots from Sakic, Hejduk, and Laaksonen. While Roloson was on the top of his game, Budaj was in another land. Well being the Avs just had a loss at home I am sure they want to come back with a win against the Ducks. The Mighty Ducks are coming from a road win against Phoenix 5-2. So I am sure they are feeling good for that. Coming into this game, the Avalanche have won two games one home and one away, and lost one away. Now that the Avs are 21-8-6 at home and the Ducks are 15-12-7. I am not going to say who has the odds of winning because last time I did that Edmonton won even though the advantages were for the Avs. Now Budaj needs to go see the mighty great one to learn how to stop the puck. The Avalanche need to step up even more on the defense. They need to make more shots, get the rebounds, assists and score. They also need to be on Teemu Selanne like a fat kid on cake. He has been on his game this week with 10 points ( 4 goals and 6 assists) in four of the Ducks wins. Two on the road and two at home. So if they can step up thier came and stop Selanne, I think the Avs will be ok. Budaj needs to step up his game as well. He stops the puck if he can but he is 0 for 5 in shoot outs, and we cant have that. If we go into shoot outs thats what helps us win is him stoping the puck. So we will see what happens Tuesday night when the Ducks come to the Pepsi Center. Lets go Avalanche.
Look what we have here. The Avalanche won last night. Yeahhhh!!!!! Now if we can keep this wining thing going, then playoffs here we come. I HOPE. Now today we play Edmonton at home. Which we have the advantage, because we are at home and we do pretty well at home, and because Edmonton isnt so hot on wins on the road even though they beat Vancouver last night 3-2. And good for them because I hate Vancouver, but now they are they are coming to Colorado. The Avalanche have won 4 of the last 6 matches against them, and have won 2 out of 3 games at home. So even though the Oilers had a win last night the odds are favored for the Avalanche to win tonight. They need to step up the defense a little so that way they dont go into a shoot out and have the chance to lose and kiss the playoffs good bye. Our goalie needs to continue to stop the pucks so they cant score and we need to score more. Joe Sakic is a great leader and can direct us into the path to the playoffs but it needs to be a team effort. Come on Avalanche, CAN WE GET ANOTHER WIN.
If the Avalanche want to go to the playoffs, of course they need to win. But there are other factors. Tonight they play St. Louis. Which St. Louis has lost more then they have won at home. The Avalanche are dead even with wins and losses. Now of course they need to win, But Jose Theodore needs to stop the puck. Hopefully Jose stopped and talked with the mighty great one Patrick Roy and learned a few pointers that will help himstop the puck. Being Alex Tanguay is out for a few weeks, we need some people to work a little harder. They need to step up defensivly, and SCORE SCORE SCORE. I will be back to talk about what they need to do to win in a little momnent. If I continue then this post will be 20 pages. I might be the only one here saying this but Lets Go Avalanche.
I am 22 and I am a huge Broncos and Avalanche fan cant say the Rockies suck anymore and I never got into basketball. I should probably go and change my favorites seems how some of the people where here when I first started blogging in 2005 and they are not here anymore but I just choose not to right now.
