Jim your FIRED
Oct 09, 2007 | 10:49AM | report this
A lot of Denvers defensive players were cut because they didnt fit into Jim Bates's defensive scheme. We lost a lot of talent for it. But now looking at Denvers defense it looks like Jim Bates isnt the one working out. He took one of the best defenses from last year and made them one of the worst this year. Denver has a lot of talent on the defensive side and we know this because we have seen them play but now that Jim has been here its been nothing but a huge mess. They keep saying we need more time we need more time but they have had enough time. If they cant get it together because they cant learn the scheme get rid of Bates because they could get it done last year. Jim Bates YOUR FIRED. I know the defense isnt the only problem but its a huge problem that needs to be fixed or I can kiss my season good bye.

50/50

To my blogging friends

As we all know monopoly is back at McDonalds. We all know Boardwalk and Park Place are worth a million bucks if you have both pieces. It works like this though so the odds of you wining the million bucks are slim to none. On 1 half of the country they have Boardwalk and the other half gets Park Place. I have Park Place so I was thinking that if my buddies on the west coast has Boardwalk we can put the pieces together and split the million bucks 50/50. If you get Boardwalk let me know and we can share

Ricky you forgot your friend

As if your 2-2 team couldnt get it together things couldnt seem to get worse until it happens. Travis Henry is reported to have pot in his system. Travis is using the defense that his experts werent there so the league violated its own rules and he shouldnt face suspension. Travis you dumb #### dont tell the leauge that all they have to do is call you and your experts in and say ok if you want to use that for your defense guys what your 2 year probabtion is almost up heres a cup go #### in it. Dont fight it if your dirty your dirty. Now how do you expect to pay for all 100 million of your kids? Ok so that was an exaderation but still 9 babies is a lot.

We have seen it time and time again with Ricky Williams he smokes it up then is suspended then comes back and done it again. Ricky come pick your friend up.

Denver is having a hard enough time getting things together to be the explosive team that they should be and they dont need this distraction.

Denver start Selvin Young he is very productive and Mike Bell isnt to shabby either but for god sake get Travis Henry out of there if he is tested positive. We dont need his pot head ways to be the reason why they say Rocky Mountain High Colorado.

Stupid Stupid Stupid
Aug 20, 2007 | 10:58AM | report this

ESPN has reported that the Broncos have finally  traded DT Gerard Warren to the Oakland Raiders. THis has been something that the Broncos have been trying to do for weeks because apparently there is no room for him on our newly beefed up defense because he lacks size. Yes just his size. Since  2001 he has had 340 tackles 22 sacks 6 forced fumbles 4 fumble recoveries and 15 pass deflections. With the torn achilles tendon that DE Ebenezer Ekuban endured during the game on saturday against the Cowgirls that left him out for the season I think  why in the world would they send him away? To stay on the team he even took a huge paycut to free up salary cap money. I personally think that Denver was stupid for letting him go. As much as i hate to say it with the Raiders adding him they are going to have a good defense.  This is how I still feel about them.

This is suppose to be your year
Aug 06, 2007 | 10:56AM | report this

Dear Denver Broncos,

My name is baby Emily and I am a new Broncos fan. My mommy has givin me my first history lesson. You have been to the Super bowl every 10 years since 1977. The year in now 2007 so its you year. I just have some concerns. You guys have had way to many injuries this week. I know Rod Smith was already on the sidelines with Brandon Marshall and Tony Shefler, but my defensive players you didnt have to add Marcus Thomas, Teyo Johnson, Chad Mustard, Marquay McDaniel, Glen Martinez, Brandon Stokley, Paul Smith, Ben Hamilton, Warick Holdman ( I hope he has his feeling back), Travis Henry and Jarvis Moss. Thats just to start. In order to make it through the season to get to the Super Bowl you have to have a team and you cant do that when your team is on the sidelines. Now I know Most will be fine when it comes time to play next week but this is out of control. My mom has a blue and orange cloud above her head getting exctied because she gets to watch you play next monday, and I get to watch my first Broncos game, but can we lighten up on the injuries because if everyone has to sit on the sidelines because they are hurt then my mommy is going to be upset because you guys wont play and she is driving me crazy waiting for the game. I know Mike said " Hit the guy your wearing pads" but I dont think he meant kill them. Take it out on the other team and not your own please.

Your new fan

Emily

Are you ready for some football?
May 19, 2007 | 12:08PM | report this

Spring time is in the air, the birds are chirping and the flowers are bloom, and the grass is green. Well depending on where you live its green. Its basically the end of May and you know what the means? Training camps have started for some football. WOOO HOOO. Every year at this time there is always a team that has that 1 person who wants to be a jerk and not come to practices because he wants to be a greedy and selfish. A few years ago for us it was Ashley Lelie. Well now that he’s gone we have no more cry baby snot faces. Yes Ashley that is exactly what you are. The only reason for a teammate of the Broncos to be a snot face crybaby now is because its hard to go on the field with 2 of your great teammates not there anymore due to unfortunate accidents one that remains as an investigation ( Darrrent Williams) and one that had happened and nothing was wrong with him ( Damien Nash). As men started walking on the field one by one they started throwing up. I know its gross but true. But through all the bad that happened in the off season they came to grow closer together as brothers as a family. We had not one person not show up. Through all the problems that the Broncos have had in the offseason each one learned not to take life for granted, and it doesn’t matter how much money you make don’t be greedy about it. Just be proud that you have been able to reach and succeed in your dream. With the departure of Al Wilson someone stepped up to not only fill his shoes but to also be a great leader. This person is D.J. Williams long time friend of Darrent Williams. He stepped up and took a leader roll for the first time and he was great. He knows that he’s not Al but he still tries. He tried to make old teammates take him seriously as a leader and he tried to make rookies feel comfortable in their new home. During practice he made Jarvis Moss ( rookie) dance in front of everybody to get everybody pumped and ready to practice. Well I have seen the video and lets just say that Jarvis doesn’t hit the clubs. He couldn’t get anybody pumped. D.J. didn’t do this to embarrass him but to get him used to what they do in practice, and even though Jarvis tried to get everyone’s attention David Kircus showed him how it was done. And it got everyone ready to go. Everybody on the field is family and even though Jarvis couldn’t get everybody pumped guess what? The vets did it on purpose. Rookie initiation.  Gotta hate it when you back on the bottom of the pole. After all the dancing and pumping up and laughs everybody got serious and did thier part to be involed and had nothing but a stellar practice. I know this seems like a bunch of rambling but it was nice to see that everybody came together as a family and we didn’t have anybody not show up for training camp, and participate because of greed. There are a lot of teams that the only thing they think about is money and themselves, and yes I know there are teams that are also good about being a team not just individuals, but it was nice to see a team come together in a way that was more then just a team, but also as a family. Together they are something special with warm hearts and great people and that’s how Denver keeps it classy. And with that being said are you ready for some football?

A begining to the End
Apr 10, 2007 | 12:03PM | report this

It was announced that Pacman Jones and Chris Henry have been given thier punishments from the NFL. I personally think that Pacman should be fired and should not beable to return to the NFL. The commissioner Roger Goodell is trying to make an effort to clean up the mess the THUGS have created to give the NFL a bad name. The draft is in a couple of weeks and I am sure that  we are all pondering the same thing "How many THUGS can we draft this year?" After doing some reading I have a good feeling that this thugness is going to stop.

Jamaal Anderson DE out of Arkansas. He is very family oreintated. He went to the Combine with his sister. She was nice enough to cook and hung out with him He says that he wouldnt have even been looked at by the NFL if it wasnt for his dad. When his dad was 6 years old he went deaf. But just because he was deaf didnt mean he couldt strike the fear into his kids. Jamaal and his sister went to the mall and saw a kid get into trouble for steeling the officer asked the kid if he wanted to call his dad or go to jail. The kid said to call his dad. Jamaals sister said wow I would have chosen jail. Now I applaud Jamaals dad for being deaf and still raising his son right. He has morals and values and taught his son and daughter right from wrong. And if you would choose to go to jail then to call him then you know hes tough.

Then you have Aaron Ross CB out of Texas. He is all about family himself and he has a girlfriend that puts him in check. They have been together for 3 years now and she helps him train. How can she help him train? She is an olympic medalist for running. He can barely keep up with her when they run. And she is just a little thing. This is a guy who was brought up on good morals and standards as well. And with a girlfriend like her he will grow to be something special. You know what they say behind every good man stands a good women.

Then we have Amobi Okoye. DT out of Louisville. The youngest guy going into the draft.  He was brought up on good morals and values and is all about family. He started college at the age of 16. Yes I said 16. And of all things he was on a football scholorship. Now you ask how does a kid get a football scholorship and go to college at the age of 16? Well heres the answer. The boy has brains. If I remember corectly both of his parents were in education but still at the age of 16 and going to college he is like a Doogy. He doesnt get into trouble and focused on what he needed to do to have a good future. He is a very talented player. His freshman year of college he had 17 tackles 2 for a loss and a sack. As he developed as a player and as a person he only became better. If he doesnt make it in the NFL which I am sure he will go fast in the draft but if he doesnt he has a future in something else because he was a good kid.

Follow the leader

In todays world we see a lot of kids acting like their parents. I am sure if you have kids and you say something to them you say "God I sound just like my mom or God I sound just like my dad." I am also sure you sometimes catch yourself doing little things that your parents did.

Adrian Peterson RB out of Oklahoma. Had a rough life watching his dad go in and out of jail for drugs and other crimes. Adrian never followed in the footsteps of his father but instead always went by what his mother taught him. He grew up getting good grades in school and was never a trouble maker. And he is another player who has good morals and values.

Is this the end of drafting thugs? Probably not. Some how they always manage to slip through the cracks. But if these kids that I have mentioned show any indication that there are still good kids going into the draft trying to go pro and can make a difference on and off the field then I say they are more then welcome in the NFL and even if you are not a fan of the team that they go to atleast you will know that we still have some good guys coming into the game.

I think over the next few years a lot of guys coming into the game will be just as talented as the guys above and will be just as level headed and not be trouble makers. We will start seeing all the thugs replaced by the good guys.

CONTRACTS GET YOUR CONTRACTS HERE
Apr 09, 2007 | 2:18PM | report this
Today is all about contracts. First we have Mike Shanahan. He extended his contract through the 2011 season. I think he needs to sign a lifetime contract. He still has many years of coaching in him. He will tie Bill Cower in coaching 1 team for so long with 15 years and I see him extending his contract after 2011. Then we have Joe Sakic. He agreed to a 1 year deal with the Avs. He is year to year because he likes it that way and he can evaluate how he feels at the end of the season. And after last nights win I think he kows the team has something special they just need to show it. Not just when it comes down to the wire at the end of the season. If the Avs played like they did at the end of the season all year the Avs would be unstopable.  This will mark Joes 19th season with the Avs. He has been with them since they were in Canada.

Well dont I just feel silly

Since free agency started I came up with the really logical theories. Plummer was suppose to go to the Texans, David Carr to the Raiders, Jeff Garcia to the Broncos. Rod Smith was going to retire. Boy was I wrong. Plummer retired, David Carr has been released. The only thing I can say is if Trent Green goes to the Dolphins the Culpepper will be released and will have a job maybe with the Raiders. So Carr going their isnt going to work because they also have Jeff Garcia. Carr will now be flipping burgers at your local Burger King. Rod Smith didnt retire. The Broncos and Smith have finally restructured his contract fot the next 2 seasons. So what was the purpose of signing Brandon Stokley? What the hell is going on? It sounded good in theory. And now the Broncos are in talks with the Giants about Al Wilson. What the hell why get rid of Wilson? He isnt money hungry, he loves the team and he loves the fans and just loves Denver. Why not restructure his contract and give him incentives like they did Rod Smith? I kinda feel like my team is falling apart if Wilson goes. Clearly the NFL has not read my logical, and smart ideas. Shame on them and they say they love the fans.

This cant be good
Mar 20, 2007 | 11:09AM | report this

The Broncos made a deal with Jets back up QB Patrick Ramsey.  They also released defensive end Courtney Brown which is ok because he is always injured. But signing Patrick Ramsey. The man has 34  touchdown passes and 29 interceptions and a rating of like 74. Ok thats like having Plummer on the team. If we wanted someone like that then why not just keep Plummer? Now I cant lie I dont know that much about the Jets but most of the time doesnt JETS  stand for JUST ENDED THEIR SEASON?  I now feel like Plummer got that crappy end of the stick for having a guy who is like him replace him. If I am wrong please let me know.  And more in Broncos signing Brandon Stokley is now a Bronco.

Come Back
Sep 06, 2006 | 8:11AM | report this

Has anybody but me noticed that the Houston Texans are turning into the Denver Broncos just a little bit.?

First it was Gary Kubiak . He was the Offensive Coordinator for Denver, and now he is the Head Coach for the Texans. Working for Mike Shanahan I am sure he has a lot up his sleeve. It just so happens that Mike was just a little bit better when Denver played the Texans this preseason.

Then we have Kyle Shanahan. The son of Mike Shanahan. He was born into being on the sidelines with his dad. Now that they are working for 2 different football teams it should make an interesting conversation at the dinner table. Granted he was the Offensive Quality Control Coach and helped franchise rookie Michael Clayton in reception-recieving touchdowns,  but you know growing up with Mike Shanahan he learned a lot. He had to of had talks about game plans with his dad before he started coaching himself.

Next we have Roc Alexander. The once Defensive Back who yes came from Denver. Maybe, hopefully he learned a thing or 2.

Then We have big Jeb Putzier. The Tight end that yes came from Denver as well. We was signed with Denver in 2002 and so Mike Shanahan and Gary Kubiak is all he knows. So he should really know a few things.

And last but not least the newest addition to the Texans is Ron Dayne. I personally a didnt care if he left. He was a bust and then tried to show life at the last minute but it didnt help.

Do you see where I am going with this. Yes I know it happens. People get cut and traded to different teams. Granted it was just a Defensive Back, Tight End and a Running Back. Oh and a once Offensive Coordinator, and the son of one of the best football coaches. But how many more people are going to go from Denver to Houston before all is said and done?  I dont think that the Texans are going to make it to the playoffs but I do think that they are going to win more this season then they did last season. Instead of wining 4 games this year they will win 5.
