GIVE CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE
Nov 19, 2007 | 9:05PM | report this

Today was the match up of the Vince Young and Jay Cutler. This game was a game that involved a lot of players who played together before getting drafted. They may have been on the same team in the NFL or played for the Titans. But this was a big game that Denver needed to win and did win with authority.

We can all agree that ESPNs comentary sucks more then a crack head trying to get her next hit but they really made me mad tonight.

I know, we know, America knows that Denver is not by all means a sexy team at all. I stand by my team win or lose and I have put them on blast but I have also givin credit where credit is due as well. Today it was all about Vince Young and the Titans. They made the Titans sound like they were the Pats, and Pats they are not.

Vince is a good QB I will give him that but as a whole the Titans are not that great. But not 1 time did they have anything nice to say about Cutler or the Broncos. When Denver actually plays football the way it needs to be played they are a very good team. The Broncos dominated this game tonight. Cutler is a very good QB we have just hits some bumps in the road on defense which to me looks like they are fixing. But Denver looked real good tonight and the Titans were still getting all the kudos. How can you say a team is that great when they are getting put to shame? Granted the Broncos could have played a little better but this was not an ugly sloppy game by any means. So where is the credit to the Broncos?

It was all about the Titans. To me personally I dont think the Titans are that great. Sure they are good but not great. ESPN give credit where credit is due or are you going to wait until they make the playoffs?

Guilt is a bitch

The Vikings got it right. They have given WR Troy Williamson his paycheck, and in return he is donating the whole check to charity in honor of his grandmother. Childress admited being wrong without really saying he was wrong. He said its not about being right but getting it right. That to me sounds like someone felt guilty.

What the Hell
Nov 09, 2007 | 9:23AM | report this

In the NFL there has been many players that have been fined for good reason and for stupid reasons but this takes the cake. Vikings Troy Williamson was docked 25 grand from his pay to attend his grandmother funeral. This man took time out for his family at a time of need. He didnt skip practices and a game to go have fun. He went to bury a women who taught him what he knows in life as he was very close to her.

 See even Emily is shocked

Why would you dock a mans pay for a game when he has a legitimate reason as to why he didnt go. He said that his family comes first and he would throw football away to take care of his family. He is truely a classy guy who believes in family. I dont blame him for leaving the team to handle this personal matter. He paid for the funeral and paid travel expenses for those in his family who couldnt afford it.

The Vikings should be ashamed of themselves and I hope Roger steps in and tells the Vikings where they can stuff that 25 grand. Good Lord have some sympothy for the man his grandmother just passed away. God forbid if someone in the coaching staff or the owners family passes away. Does this mean that if someone from the coaching staffs family passes away they have to pony up some money? And what about the owner what happens to him if someone in his family dies?

A good player or a baby T.O. in the making you decide
Nov 08, 2007 | 1:30PM | report this

The Broncos are cleaning house. Well sorta Jim Bates isnt gone yet. But...... They have released 3 players, WR Brian Clark, S Curome Cox and DT Amon Gordon. The Broncos in return signed DE Larry Birdine rookie from the Oklahoma Sooners, Paul Carrington from the Falcons, Josh Mallard from where else? The Atlanta Falcons and WR Taylor Jacobs.

The one player who stands out to me is the Rookie Larry Birdine. In his carrer at Oklahoma he had 24.5 tackles for losses, 13.5 sacks and a whopping 103 tackles. He has a mouth from the South it is reported. Infact its so bad that its been reported that when you google his name it says Larry Birdine a.k.a The Mouth Of the South. I have looked it up and I havent found it but anyways.

He has done his first interview as a Denver Bronco and my goodness does he have a lot to say.

Before we get into it just a little history lesson. I promise its real small. Larry Birdine is the guy who in 2005 called USC an average team. And then lost to them 55-19.

He is a talker. A very big talker but.... he says its a for good reason. He likes to talk trash as much as he can because he gets into peoples head and catches them off their game and one he starts running his mouth people are soon to follow. He said he will not shut up unless the coach tells him to and even then he wont shut up.

This sounds great right? Well anything to help Denver out of the nasty slump they are in. The team as a whole is pretty much in their sophmore slump right now.

So my question is this. Will he end up being a big mouth like T.O? or will he actually help the team get motivated? I hope motivated because right about now I am starting to look into possible draft picks for next year starting with  Quintin Groves, and right about now they way we are playing we are going to end up with a very high draft choice. Atleast in the top ten and it has been a while since that has happened.

This is Emilys shocked face. She made this face when she woke up and saw the Broncos were down 30-0 on sunday

And Dorryien turned his hat sideways so you didnt know he was rooting for the Broncos

Cant have the good without the bad
Oct 22, 2007 | 7:26PM | report this

Denver has faced its ups and downs, but we all know that they have had more downs then ups. Between 2 deaths, good guys leaving, a pot-head running back, and a lot of injuries the Broncos have yet another blow. Last nights game was just great Denver fans are feeling good the players are feeling good about the win but then someone has to ruin it for everybody as if there wasnt enough drama. Early this morning WR Brandon Marshall was arrested, yes arrested for a su####ion of DUI.

OK folks heres the thing partying it up after the game it all good the team deserved it but when you go out to party call a cab to go home. They even make it easy for you to remember the number to call. Either you call 303-333-3333 or 303-777-7777. How hard are those number to remember?

There has not been any reports of the blood alcohol level so I can get on his #### yet and throw him under the bus. At this point its all speculation.

At this point I am having my doubts about Brandon and his charactor and the kind of person he is. Not only did he get this arrest but........... him and his cousin started the confrontation that resulted in Darrent Williams being killed. Its all starting to come together and I have this bad feeling in my tum tum that says he is bad bad bad bad news, and after the fight at the club I truely feel that the bullet that got Darrent was actually for Brandon.

HI my name is what? my name is who? my name is the Denver Broncos?
Oct 22, 2007 | 6:57AM | report this

From the begining up until the San Diego game Denver showed no life in them only wining 2 games from 2 wining field goals.  Thats how Denver won yet again but this time it was different, it wasnt a nail biter at the end like the other 2 were. Dont get me wrong I was still hoping that Jason Elam would make it. Who am I kidding that man is money. From all areas of the game Denver came to play. They all clicked and how sweet it was. We came in the game with everything working in the Steelers favor. Coming into the game Denver was the team to give up all the points and the Steelers were the ones to make all the points. The Steelers could run the ball and we couldnt stop the ball. That wasnt the case today. 4 sacks on Big Ben 2 interceptions on Big Ben and a fumble that was ran in for a touch down in Denvers favor. Who was this defense that showed up? And lets not talk about our offense. We were actually able to score and make big plays. Granted we should have scored a little bit more but none the less we were able to put points up on the board. Minus a few things here and there that can be improved the Broncos showed what they have been trying to say all along. They were able to get it done in practice but couldnt bring it to the field on game day. Well yesterday they finally brought it to game day and I could be  happier. For the sake and sanity of the fans they won.  All in all it was a damn good game.

Blogger Competition: My week 7
Oct 18, 2007 | 8:32PM | report this

This week the Broncos play the Steelers. I would like to add real quick that Steelerfan ( Tom) and I have a deal going on that if the Broncos win then he has to wear a Broncos hat and take a picture and set it as his avitar pic for  a month, and if the Broncos lose I must do the same. Wait this doesn’t seem fair anymore because he doesn’t come on here anymore. I am gonna call him and tell him we need to make a different deal.

I am not in denial anymore.  The Broncos just flat out suck, that’s all there is to it, no sugar coating just flat out suck.  I still love them though and will always and forever be a fan win or lose.  Before the  bye week we sucked so bad against the Chargers that I actually thought about watching the race and I hate racing. Coming off the bye week it’s not looking promising. We still have injuries. It was just announced that Javon Walker is going to have knee surgery tomorrow in Houston, and I wanted to see him light up Green Bay next week,  Champ might not play but John #### should be in.  But with all the problems the Broncos have right now the bye week came at a great time. I hope they took the time to have great practices and really fix all the problems.

broncosvssteelers.jpg picture by princes7902

The match-up this weekend between the Broncos and the Steelers is a great one. The Broncos don’t score a lot of points and the Steelers don’t allow a lot of points. The Steelers  score a lot of points and the Broncos allow a lot of points to be scored. See its great the Broncos are going to get their #### handed to them once again. It pains me to say that. So this game is highly favored in the Steelers favor. It’s said that the Broncos are going to want to get revenge for the playoff game in 2005 when the Steelers made the Broncos look silly. The Broncos beat them last year 31-20, but that was at their house. We are now back in ours where the Steelers performed the demolition against Denver.  But my question is how are we going to phathom the thought of beating them when we can’t even get it together on the team.

As much as I would love to say that the Broncos are going to beat the snot out of the Steelers I can’t, I would be lying to myself and setting myself up for a heartbreak.

I don’t worry about Cutler going against Big Ben because even on Cutlers worst day he still has a good day. Its like he’s the only one who shows up to play anymore. Its everyone else I am worried about.  In order for Denver to win they need to score points and block. The defense needs to put pressure on Ben and keep the ball away from Parker.

speedy_gonzales.jpg picture by princes7902

They need to come out and start scoring faster then Speedy Gonzales running around saying areeba areeba, and if they lets say do get to a good start and get a few points up for the lead ( more then 3) then they need to keep going and not play like #### to let the Steelers catch up.

Will this happen? I don’t know only game time Sunday night will only tell but I am not going to give my hopes up. That’s just the reality of it. But maybe for my sake and sanity and every other Broncos fan they will win.

NFC West Contest
Oct 13, 2007 | 1:26PM | report this

NFC West What is there to say about this division? You got the 49ers, The Seahawks, the Cardinals, and the Rams. Will the NFC West ever become a good division? I mean really. Not just have one good team in it but good as a whole?

Lets take a looksie loo at the division

The Arizona Cardinals- With Matt Leinart out for the season they will depend more on Kurt Warner. Wait Kurt Warner is still playing? What is he like 100? While being good as a Ram and doing small things in Arizona does he really have what it takes anymore to get the job done and take this team to the playoffs? Or will his walker and the need to change his depends get in the way? Ok so I am kidding he isnt that old. But you see where I am getting at.

Record right now 3-2

The Seattle Seahawks- They were on to something right off the bat. That was until…… one day they had to play the Steelers. After being shut out the Steelers reminded the Seahawks why they lost the Super Bowl. They got out played yet once again showing that it didn’t matter how hard the Seahawks cried it was the refs it was really the Hawks who just couldn’t get it done. Now mad that they lost to the Steelers will they take it out on the Saints? Depends on what Seahawks want to show up the good ones or the bad ones.

Record right now 3-2

Then you got the good ol 49ers. They were supposed to be the team to beat this year and take the division. 2-3 doesn’t seem so scary to me. It doesn’t make me shake in my boots. Boys don’t feel to bad we were suppose to be the team to beat this year to and you can see how well that’s working out for us.

 Record right now 2-3

Then you got the Rams- Yes like you I said Rams who? They are 0-5 running neck in neck with the Dolphins to see who is going to get the numero uno overall draft pick next year. Record right now 0-5

As you can see this division leaves a little to be desired. Year in and year out collectivly as a whole this division always brings the hype and then turns to be a bunch of hoopla. And for this I wont take the division seriously.

Sorry kinda late but computer was running so slow it would be faster to watch paint dry

Jim your FIRED
Oct 09, 2007 | 10:49AM | report this
A lot of Denvers defensive players were cut because they didnt fit into Jim Bates's defensive scheme. We lost a lot of talent for it. But now looking at Denvers defense it looks like Jim Bates isnt the one working out. He took one of the best defenses from last year and made them one of the worst this year. Denver has a lot of talent on the defensive side and we know this because we have seen them play but now that Jim has been here its been nothing but a huge mess. They keep saying we need more time we need more time but they have had enough time. If they cant get it together because they cant learn the scheme get rid of Bates because they could get it done last year. Jim Bates YOUR FIRED. I know the defense isnt the only problem but its a huge problem that needs to be fixed or I can kiss my season good bye.

To my blogging friends

As we all know monopoly is back at McDonalds. We all know Boardwalk and Park Place are worth a million bucks if you have both pieces. It works like this though so the odds of you wining the million bucks are slim to none. On 1 half of the country they have Boardwalk and the other half gets Park Place. I have Park Place so I was thinking that if my buddies on the west coast has Boardwalk we can put the pieces together and split the million bucks 50/50. If you get Boardwalk let me know and we can share

As if your 2-2 team couldnt get it together things couldnt seem to get worse until it happens. Travis Henry is reported to have pot in his system. Travis is using the defense that his experts werent there so the league violated its own rules and he shouldnt face suspension. Travis you dumb #### dont tell the leauge that all they have to do is call you and your experts in and say ok if you want to use that for your defense guys what your 2 year probabtion is almost up heres a cup go #### in it. Dont fight it if your dirty your dirty. Now how do you expect to pay for all 100 million of your kids? Ok so that was an exaderation but still 9 babies is a lot.

We have seen it time and time again with Ricky Williams he smokes it up then is suspended then comes back and done it again. Ricky come pick your friend up.

Denver is having a hard enough time getting things together to be the explosive team that they should be and they dont need this distraction.

Denver start Selvin Young he is very productive and Mike Bell isnt to shabby either but for god sake get Travis Henry out of there if he is tested positive. We dont need his pot head ways to be the reason why they say Rocky Mountain High Colorado.

Wow what a finish
Sep 16, 2007 | 5:19PM | report this

Ahhh fall is in the air and its football sunday. I was sad because yet again I wasnt going to be able to watch the Broncos play. So I was stuck with a decision. Watch the Chicago beat Kansas City or clean, whats a football fan to do? Duh watch the Bears beat the Chiefs. Well the baby woke up so I changed her diaper and a friend came over to bring a baby present so I didnt see the end of the game. I go into the kitchen to start dinner and I hear a team calling heads or tails. Surely the Chiefs didnt come back to tie the game to go into over time.  So I go into the den and see if they came back and then it happens.

My eyes light up like a kid in a candy store. It was the Broncos and the Raiders. Woooooooo Hoooooo. Wait thats not something to get excited about. The Raiders came back to tie the game. #### and yes those were my exact words.  The Broncos win the toss thats great we can get the ball down far enough to get Jason Elam to score the wining field goal. Wrong. Damn it well defense can stop them to get the ball back. Close. The Raiders got the ball far down enough to make the field goal. As they line up for the kick my heart starts pounding and my stomach is in knots. They cant beat us. Janikowski kicks and its good. My jaw drops and I think a trickle of a tear started coming down and the knots got tighter in my stomach. Oh man am I gonna hear it from the Raiders fans on Fox Sports I thought to myself. How did this happen.

Oh but wait something happened that I didnt see. At the last second Mike Shanahan called a time out. Mike you genious you. The field goal didnt count. And from 52 yards I gotta say it was actually a good kick but the fact remains it didnt count. Ok Janikowski lets see if you can do it again. NOOOOO he can not do it again. He kicks it and it hits the top left side of the upright and it bounced off to the left. Ohhh if you could only see the look on the Raiders face.

I jump up and down screaming and start to breath again and say ITS NO GOOD HAHAHAHA

Ok Denver we got this. Jay Cutler with the help of Travis Henry and Brandon Stokley get the ball down the field. They made it look so easy. Here comes Jason Elam to come out to score the field goal. They line up make the snap Sauerbrun holds the ball and Jason comes to try to kick a 23 yard field goal. He kicks the ball and its going and

ITS GOOD.

Denver wins the game  23-20 in overtime Whew that was close.

Denver out played the Raiders and they still caught up and why? Because Denver couldnt get it together in the redzone and if memory serves me correctly that was 1 of the problems when we had Jake Plummer. With Denver putting up numbers the way they are if they could get it together in the redzone then my goodness Denver would be the team to beat. Even though it was a win I can still say they need to get it together, and the only reason we won this game is because Shanny called the time out just in time to get to the final result of what happened. Denver beats Oakland yet again

$61 MILLION?
Sep 10, 2007 | 8:11PM | report this
Holy freakin #### I know the kid has talent and can throw 40 yards sitting on his butt and his size helps a lot but is JaMarcus really worth 61 million bucks? Hes not even a starter. It was reported that the madness has stopped and he finally made a deal with the Raiders for 61 million bucks with 32 million guarenteed for six years. Thats crazyness. Lets just say for giggles hes a flop. 61 mil? Sorry hes not worth that much yet

Sorry Losers
Sep 09, 2007 | 5:17PM | report this

Today was a great day. Denver won Kansas City lost and so did the Raiders and I thought that the Bears defense could stop the Chargers enough to pull out a win beating the chargers but I was wrong. While statisticly speaking Denver had a great day but should have had more points but hey an ugly win is better then a pretty loss. Cutler had 304 yards today. I should have started him over Drew Brees but didnt because i forgot but oh well. Shockingly enough I dont want to talk about the Broncos today. I want to talk about the Raiders. Dont get too excited Raiders fans I am not crossing to the dark side infact even if I werent a Broncos fan I still would stay clear of the Raiders.

After watching the Eagles game they tuned in for the last few minutes of the Lions/ Raiders game. I of course wanted to see the Lions beat the Raiders lose just like any other Bronco fan. The last 2 minutes of the game Tatum Bell scored a touchdown. And good for him because as I have said I wanted the Raiders to lose and this touchdown put the Lions over the top for the win, but what came after Tatums touchdown was just classless and it reminds me why I could never be a fan even if I werent a fan of Denver. Fans started throwing stuff at Tatum right after he scored. Raiders fans are you that pissed that you cant win that you have to be classless and throw thing at players? Did you throw it at him because he is a former Bronco or is it because yet once again the Raiders cant win? Either way its still rediculous that you would do this. Should I be shocked that this happened? NO. And it because the Raiders are a dirty team with classless dirty bitter fans.

I hope the Raiders never win a game ever again and next week I hope Denver makes them look silly like they do every year.

( Lise if you read this I still love ya but Raides fans minus yourself are bad)

PS..... Bills  Kevin Everett was injured in a helmet to helmet when he tackled Denver Domenik Hixon that knocked him out cold and had to leave in an ambulance as he was unconsious when he was on the field. The coach gave a update on him and he regained his consiousness but is in observation for cervical spinal injury. I hope he makes a good recovery.

Finally you do something right

After seeing all the injuries and the defense not looking so hot and all the moves that make you want to say " What the hell were you thinking"  like signing very injured but recovering former Cheif John Browning and letting go Gerard Warren leaving little hope for Broncos fans everywhere Mike Shanahan does something that gives us hope. Today Denver signed DE Simeon Rice. This signing makes more sense then when Denver signed John Browning. Why sign a guy who has back problems and hasnt played a game since 05 when we could have signed Simeon Rice or Michael Strahan before he resigned his contract and ended his hold out with the Giants. But I got what I wanted because Rice is now apart of the team which makes me excited. Not only does this make me excited but it makes John #### excited as well. John played with him when he was a Buccaneer. Simeon Rice has 121 career sacks and is one of the best pass rushers in the game now.
