Guilt is a ####
Nov 10, 2007 | 2:55PM | report this
The Vikings got it right. They have given WR Troy Williamson his paycheck, and in return he is donating the whole check to charity in honor of his grandmother. Childress admited being wrong without really saying he was wrong. He said its not about being right but getting it right. That to me sounds like someone felt guilty.

Guilt is a #### and some ####es is guilty.
That was too easy.

I'm very pleased with the outcome in Viking land.

This shouldn't have even happened to Troy in the first place. And as for someone saying that he hasn't produced, last I checked, receivers still need a QB to throw to them. The Vikings aren't very good in that department! Sounds like a priority in the draft.

Well, he only caved cause the media was making a big deal out of it. Don't get me wrong, I didn't like the idea of a dock in the first place, but Childress is takign that place in the wrong direction.

Enjoy the games tomorrow, BroncoGirl!

Mike the Vikings shouldnt have docked his pay in the first place. People are going to say something about that because it was something legit and the Vikings should have had more sympothy for him. As far as the games tomorrow I am only wondering how bad we are going to lose

Hi Broncogirl, I think the Vikes ownership realized they were getting crucified in the media and probably told Childress that he was going to have a change of heart, and in the bizarro world of NFL head coaches, his statement is about as close as you will ever hear most of them to admitting they were wrong....

Hey Girl: Long time, no see. How's the colt? All is well I trust. I just glanced at the news release 'bout this, so I don't know the "facts", but to fined for going to a funeral?!?
That smacks of retribution to me/ya know I really ony pay attention to one team, so isn't he performing or what? Did he notify the team, or just take off? Fuzz

Hey broncs how are you and your little family? Haven't blogged much lately...working alot.
The Vikings really had no choice but to cough up Williamson's money. It would have been a public relations nightmare if they didn't.
Even though they gave him the money back it just goes to show you how CLASSLESS the Viking organization is.

Hi HalfBaked. I am sure they did. I dont know how they thought they were really going to pull of docking a pay check like that without people saying anything. Its funny he said that he had a talk with a few people and thats how he changed his mind. BS it was all the NFL fans that made him change his mind. Love the Vikings or not NFL fans werent having it.

Hey Fuzz. I know I have been busy doing things with the house and hubby was home from the boat. Baby Emily is good. You can see pics of her on my last 2 posts. How are you and your fam? Now the rundown. The Vikings docked a paycheck from WR Troy Williamson because he did not attend the Chargers game to attend his grandmother funeral. He was very close to her as she taught him what he knows. He paid for the funeral paid for travel expenses for those in his family who couldnt afford it. He did tell them he was going as he should have went. He said he would throw his NFL career away for his family if he had to. He isnt playing to his full potential because he doesnt have a good QB.

Hey Socrate myself and family is good. Hows yours? The Vikings shouldnt have done it to begin with. They could have just let it be. You know the front office was catching a lot of #### becasue he was quick to call the media to let them know.

Bronco Girl, Who are you guys playing? Le tme check. Oh, Kansas City. Personally, I HATE the Chiefs, but I do have them winning. I don't know, something is wacked with the AFC West this season. An 8-8 team could win that division.

Me and Gambit were talkign about how a 7-9 team could win in the NFC West. Seattle, San Fran, St. Louis, Arizona. Ouch! Like the NL Central of football. LOL

Good luck to the Broncos, but, uh, I kinda hope they lose, cause, ya know, I have the Chiefs in my Pro Pick 'Em. You never know. Ramsey is pretty good. The Broncos did beat the Steelers, and pushed the Green Bay game to overtime, so crazier things have happened.

Talk to ya later!

Mike I dont think Denver is going to win it. St Louis needs to win a game before becoming 7-9. Something isnt right with the AFC West. I thinks the Pats cheated and cursed the division because the AFC West is a hard division. Patrick Ramsey is as good as Jake Plummer and I have the Chiefs wining on my pickems as well even though I want my Broncos to win. I kept the confidence points to a a low point so just incase the Broncos pull it off because with them you never know, then I dont screew myself on points
