NFC West What is there to say about this division? You got the 49ers, The Seahawks, the Cardinals, and the Rams. Will the NFC West ever become a good division? I mean really. Not just have one good team in it but good as a whole?
Lets take a looksie loo at the division
The Arizona Cardinals- With Matt Leinart out for the season they will depend more on Kurt Warner. Wait Kurt Warner is still playing? What is he like 100? While being good as a Ram and doing small things in Arizona does he really have what it takes anymore to get the job done and take this team to the playoffs? Or will his walker and the need to change his depends get in the way? Ok so I am kidding he isnt that old. But you see where I am getting at.
Record right now 3-2
The Seattle Seahawks- They were on to something right off the bat. That was until…… one day they had to play the Steelers. After being shut out the Steelers reminded the Seahawks why they lost the Super Bowl. They got out played yet once again showing that it didn’t matter how hard the Seahawks cried it was the refs it was really the Hawks who just couldn’t get it done. Now mad that they lost to the Steelers will they take it out on the Saints? Depends on what Seahawks want to show up the good ones or the bad ones.
Record right now 3-2
Then you got the good ol 49ers. They were supposed to be the team to beat this year and take the division. 2-3 doesn’t seem so scary to me. It doesn’t make me shake in my boots. Boys don’t feel to bad we were suppose to be the team to beat this year to and you can see how well that’s working out for us.
Record right now 2-3
Then you got the Rams- Yes like you I said Rams who? They are 0-5 running neck in neck with the Dolphins to see who is going to get the numero uno overall draft pick next year. Record right now 0-5
As you can see this division leaves a little to be desired. Year in and year out collectivly as a whole this division always brings the hype and then turns to be a bunch of hoopla. And for this I wont take the division seriously.
Sorry kinda late but computer was running so slow it would be faster to watch paint dry
Unfortunately, mediocrity seems to be the norm in most divisions nowadays. Other than NE, Indy, and Dallas, nobody has separated themselves from anybody. But that's how the league wants it, I guess.
Ricko its a shame because there is so much talent in the leauge. Being that these teams cant get it together it makes me wonder if the out come of each game is rigged do to popularity or by which team will put up the most ratings on T.V. or maybe the teams going into the game knows whos going to win before hand but just put up some sort of effort so they dont get so much heat, and the fans dont know but still go to games and by team gear while the teams are making money off of it.
what about the AFC west? the "best" team in that division is 2-2 (the raiders?), and everyone else is 2-3.
personally i didnt expect much from the nfc west (seattle 10-6 could win the division by 2 games or more). but the AFC west i thought would be a dog fight between the chargers and denver at least through the first half of the season, with SD pulling away in the 2nd half.
too bad all that money denver spent, all the trades, etc. is doing nothing for them and SD is suffering from the "norv effect."
was really nice to see that butt-kicking they gave to denver last week though.
Cuz This post was about the NFC West for the contest not the AFC West. I already know that our division is sucking it up right now. Did anybody expect more out of the Chargers being that Norv is coach? The Chargers managment is probably kicking themselves now. Who would you rather have coach? A guy who can get you 14-2 and not make it to the Super Bowl or a coach that cant even get you close enough to have the words PLAYOFFS in the teams vocabulary? Maybe afer the bye week Denver will pull it together. I still say Jim Bates needs to go. But like I said this isnt about the AFC West right now its about the NFC West. We will save the AFC for another day
Well done Broncogirl. I did petition the PTB to include your entry, Heck winning by default is not a win.
(that reminds me of a team that forgot to show up for the game last week?)
BTW I put a link on my blog to yours (what a team player I are)
I was just waiting for you to post so I could do that.

NFC West at one time was indeed a good division. But considering the teams and their pedigree. I've got to say that this year they've all been disappointing in one way or another. It could well be that we'll see the demise of some of the teams as powerhouses.
Top- Being that they were good at one point in time will they ever get to that point ever again? I think it will be a while before we see them as a dominate division
Handler this was the topic that was given gor the contest I have already said my opinion on Travis Henry and his weed smoking. If he he did it he did it and I hope the Broncos let him go but if not then let him play. But keep the subject at hand this post is about the NFC West
I did say in my season preview of the NFC Worst, errrrrrrrrrrrrr, West, that the Niners would win the division at 11-5, the Seahawks would win one of the wild card berths (Carolina being the other) at 10-6. I will say now that 9-7 will win the division. No wild cards will come out of this division. Seattle will win the division again because they have the best QB in that division. My revised predictions: 1) Seattle 9-7; 2) Arizona 8-8; 3) San Francisco 6-10; 4) St. Louis 2-14.

Hey Bronco... Great post! I hope you make the timeline cut. Computer issues ####. You had your work cut out trying to make the best of a bad division. Funny that Arizona is the sexy pick every year to make the playoffs... for the last 10 years. I imagine they will be a sexy pick next preseason again. The changing of the guard is a slow and gradual evolution. Who would have ever thought that the 49ers, Cowboys and Packers domination of the 90's could have sank so low? Now we witness more evolution in the league and the direction stays unknown. Parity and salary cap ####, but the Patriots seem to be the genius' of the era. As long as Mike Holmgren remains in Seattle, the division is theirs for the taking.
Cowboy- Thank you. It is a little silly to know at one point in time the 49ers Cowboys and the Parkers were all dominate isnt it. Who would have thought the 49ers have been and won Super Bowls only to suck as bad as they do. Cant say too much about the Packers or the Cowboys because they are doing pretty good this year

Jon464, i disagreabout the seahawks. prolly cuz im a die hard hawks fan but we are defanatly going further than 9-7...again. i give us, like you said 10-6 at least or 11-5 would be fine with me. its not enough to win the 2 week bye but its good enough to get into the playoffs. the seahawks are a huge underrated team, esp. on the east coast so when we have one huge slip up, they question everythingabout our team, like is holmgren a good enough coach, alexander isnt doing anything and can matt be a leader? i think that if we got to the superbowl again and won it, holmgren would retire but then we have jim mora jr who has been a nice addition to our coaching staff so i think that he would take over and he would do a great job. until then, we are still going to be underrated and get no respect in the league.
"Cuz This post was about the NFC West for the contest not the AFC West. I already know that our division is BLEEP ing it up right now. my sincerest apologies. i had no idea you were in the contest.
yes, i did expect more out of the chargers, even with norv at the helm. with all that talent, i didnt think even HE could screw them this badly 5 games into the season.
jim bates is a scapegoat. shanahan knew the type of defense he runs before he brought in all the players last offseason, so why isnt HE getting any blame? oh yeah, because a) you cant fire millionaire players for ####, and b) mike shanahan is not only the coach/GM, but also the broncos' mascot, since he looks just like a horse('s you know what).
anyway, forget it. since i obviously stepped in my own puke, delete both my comments.
Cuz- It was just a givin that Norn would screw it all up. On our defense its not the players its the scheme. They are having a hard time learning it. From the way it looks they have learned how to stink up the joint. Maybe thats the scheme. But like I said this is about something else and we will save this for another day :)
Holy moley. Thank you. I thought yours was better then mine. To make my case on how bad this division is Kurt Warner got injured during a sack today. The Cardinals are screwed
As Fred would say--"As bad as you'ums think them teams are, they be th only uns we's gots hereabouts. So I stands on my 'pinion that I likes the NFC West"
"And seein' as how them seekret judges likened yer words better then mines ya gets to carry my honour witcha to the next round"
Fred I will take you with me in the next round. Take yourself and Yeemum with you and go read my post that I wrote up to vent I posted it in the OTHER section
I am 22 and I am a huge Broncos and Avalanche fan cant say the Rockies suck anymore and I never got into basketball. I should probably go and change my favorites seems how some of the people where here when I first started blogging in 2005 and they are not here anymore but I just choose not to right now.
