A lot of Denvers defensive players were cut because they didnt fit into Jim Bates's defensive scheme. We lost a lot of talent for it. But now looking at Denvers defense it looks like Jim Bates isnt the one working out. He took one of the best defenses from last year and made them one of the worst this year. Denver has a lot of talent on the defensive side and we know this because we have seen them play but now that Jim has been here its been nothing but a huge mess. They keep saying we need more time we need more time but they have had enough time. If they cant get it together because they cant learn the scheme get rid of Bates because they could get it done last year. Jim Bates YOUR FIRED. I know the defense isnt the only problem but its a huge problem that needs to be fixed or I can kiss my season good bye.
Your team has to score more TDs instead of FGs, your LBs are too small, safties too slow or injured and quit on the coach on Sunday? It must all be Jim Bates fault, huh?
broncogirl, don't worry the defense will start performing when the season ends. Jim Bates has his moments but he is not a good fit in Denver with the type of defense denver has played for year. It will take at least another year or two to get the players signed and get the ones they keep to strat believing in the system.
I agree with you Broncogirl. I don't know why denver brought this guy (Bates) in. Most of last season the D looked pretty good, very good compared to this season. Jim Bates is horrible. The problem is that he is making Shanahan look bad now. Bates needs to be fired NOW!

DatStar- Have you seen the defense? For the most part a lot of the guys on defense were there last year and they were great and then all the sudden this year they suck? Yes its JIM BATES. I have already said that, thats not the only problem with Denver but its a huge one that needs to be fixed.
bayou- I seriously dont think that JIm is going to have a job after this season. There is a reason he wasnt coaching last year
Zoltar- He is making Shanahan look real bad. Bates came in and took over like he was head coach and Shanahan just sat back and let him do it. Shanahan needs to get his balls back and start doing what we know he can and first Jim needs to go

Top the way they played I say they went with Travis because they damn sure didnt play ball. The way they played its like they didnt care anymore. They showed no life at all they flatlined
TSI- THe only reason the Chargers looked good was because Denver didnt show up and saying theey were awfully bad was just sugar coating it. I hope for my own sanity that will be the last really bad loss we have
baby bloglet is doing goos she putting some weight on so now she doesnt look like she is anorexic anymore she looks like shes atleast 8 or 9 pounds now which is still too small being that she should be close to 13 by now but I will find out next week when i take her to the dr for her shots the dr wanted to wait because she has been there so much that he wanted to give her a break from seeing him and so she gets her shots next week

Flatlined being the appropriate word as they ought to send Bates' as$ back ot the Dolphins. There he can play with his logs and cast shemes that'll help their myopic defense as well. Not that it'd matter anyway !
Top I dont care where Jim goes as long as he gets the hell out of Denver. The Fins season is over now they are trying to compete to try and get the 1st choice of the 08 draft

I don't know what the season and beyond will have in store for the 'fins. But I'm sure that it can't be any worse than it's already been. As for Shanahan hiring Bates it's once again recycling the s*it off the ol' boys network. And once again we're seeing that it doesn't always work.

Top her daddy used to like it but now he doesnt look anymore. He doesnt want someone looking at his little girl they way men look at half naked women so he doesnt look.
Is his scheme to tackle the ground instead of the ballcarrier? That's what they seemed to be doing much of the time. I am totally disappointed. I thought they had enought talent to at least make the playoffs. I know they have had some injuries, but the San Diego game was an attrocity.
terapins- This is why he needs to be fired. He false advertised and in the process got rid of a lot of good guys who were very productive. He has single handedly ran our defense into the ground and has got to go. our guys are very talented and they can get the job done we have seen them do it. FIRE JIM BATES

You are absolutely right. I think a huge piece missing from our defense is Al Wilson. I was huge Al Wilson that who we miss the most. I think the D-line will improve in time, but #### is showing his age and Dre Bly is still a question mark if you ask me
I am 22 and I am a huge Broncos and Avalanche fan cant say the Rockies suck anymore and I never got into basketball. I should probably go and change my favorites seems how some of the people where here when I first started blogging in 2005 and they are not here anymore but I just choose not to right now.
