Transfer Season

With the transfer season gaining pace since the end of the Euro's im going to announce the transfer of the day or main transfers.

June 30th- Deco signs for Chelsea from Barcelona.

July 1st  -  With it being July 1st a host a out of contract players signed for new clubs, the highlights of these signings were Mellberg signing for Juventus, Borowski signing for Bayern, Lehmann signing for Stuttgart, Degan signing for Liverpool and Ujfalusi signing for Atletico.

 A number of deals were also made official such as Alves to Barca from Seville, Modric to Spurs among others.

The biggest transfer of the day is Ben-Arfa to Marseille.

July 2nd - Jo moves to Manchester City from CSKA Moscow.

July 3rd - The biggest transfer of the day is Harry Kewell signing for Galatasaray on a Bosman.

Atletico has signed former liverpool striker Florent Sinama Pongolle from Recreativo Huelva.

July 4th - Orlando Engelaar transfers to Schalke from Twente.

Dossena transfers to Liverpool from Udinese.

July 5th - Coupet signs for Atletico Madrid.

July 6th - Atletico Madrid signs defensive midfielder Paulo Assunção  from FC Porto.

July 7th - Soren Larson leaves Schalke for Toulouse.

July 8th - Dani Güiza in a shock move leaves Mallorca for Fenerbahce.

In another shock move, Ivan Klasnic leaves Werder Bremen on a bosman and signs for newly promoted french club FC Nantes.

July 9th -  Euro 2008 Turkish standout mehmet Aurelio leaves Fenerbahce for Betis.

July 10th - No shortage of transfers today, Mancini transfers to Inter from Roma and Steve Sidwell joins Villa from Chelsea.

July 11th -  Samir Nasri finally completes his move to Arsenal from Marseille.

Peter Crouch also completes his move to Portsmouth from Liverpool.

July 12th - During a quiet transfer day with few deals, USA international Danny Szetela goes on loan to Brescia from Racing Santander.

July 13th - Granero moves to Getafe from Real Madrid on a 5 year contract where he spent last season on loan.

July 14th - Christian Poulsen completes his move to Juventus from Seville.

July 15th - Fullham sign West Ham duo Bobby Zamora and John Pantsil. Samaras transfered to Celtic from Manchester City and Marek Cech signed for WBA from Porto. Squillaci signed for Seville from Lyon.

July 16th - Ronaldinho finalizes his move to AC Milan from Barcelona and Barcelona are quick to find his replacement as they sign Aleksandr Hleb from Arsenal. Greek runners up Panathinaikos sign Gilberto Silva from Arsenal. Stephan Lichtsteiner signs for Lazio from Lille. The transfers today keep on rolling as Benfica sign Pablo Aimar from relegated Real Zaragoza.

July 17th - Ludovic Guily transfers to PSG from Roma after an indifferent year in the Eternal City.

July 18th - Scott Carson signs for WBA from Liverpool.  Matuzalem signs for Lazio from Real Zaragoza while Zauri leaves Lazio for Fiorentina. 

July 19th - Dejan Stefanovic and Elliot Omozusi sign for Norwich from Fulham.

July 20th -  Josep Lluis Marti signs for Mallorca from Seville.

July 21th - Claude Makelele signs for PSG from Chelsea. The transfers in France continue as John Mensah leaves Rennes to join Ligue 1 winners Lyon. USA's Freddy Adu also completes his loan move to AS Monaco set to be formally announced after the Olympics.

July 22th - Chelsea continue there clearance and Khalid Boulahrouz signs for Stuttgart.

July 23th - West Ham sign Valon Behrami from Lazio. Fernando Meira signs for Galatasaray from Stuttgart. Teemu Tainio leaves Tottenham Hotspur and signs for Sunderland.

July 24th - Lee Cattlermole signs for Wigan from Middlesbourgh and David Ngog signs for Liverpool from PSG.

July 25th - Paul Robinson leaves Tottenham Hotspurs for Blackburn. Ajax sign Oleguer Presas from Barcelona.

July 26th - Brad Friedel joins Aston Villa from Blackburn.

July 27th - Pascal Chimbonda signs for Sunderland from Tottenham Hotspur.

July 28th - Sulley Muntari signs for Inter Milan after playing one year in England for Portsmouth. El Hadji Diouf signs for Sunderland from Bolton. In one of the biggest transfers to date Robbie Keane signs for Liverpool from Tottenham Hotspurs.

July 29th - Anthony Gardner signs for Hull City from Tottenham Hotspur on loan. Chris Eagles leaves Manchester United for Burnley.

July 20th - Tal Ben-Haim signs for Manchester City from Chelsea. Fredrik Stoor signs for Fullham from Rosenborg. Steed Malbranque signs for Sunderland from Tottenham Hotspurs.

July 31th - David Bentley signs for Tottenham Hotspur from Blackburn Rovers.

August 1st - Miguel Angel signs for Malaga from Real Betis.

August 2nd - Carlos Villanueva signs for Blackburn from Audax Italiano.

August 3rd - Real Madrid youngster Parejo goes on loan to QPR.

August 4th - In one of the biggest transfers of the summer, Rafael Van Der Vaart signs a 5-year deal for Madrid from Hamburger SV.

August 5th - Sergio Almiron goes on loan to Fiorentina from Juventus.

August 6th - Duda signs for Malaga from Seville. Daniel Shittu signs for Bolton Wanderers from Watford. Fabricio Coloccini signs for Newcastle United from Deportivo.

August 7th - Andy Johnson completes his long await move to Fullham from Everton. Aston Villa complete the signing of Nicky Shorey from Reading and Luke Youngs from Middlesbrough. 

August 8th - Benfica sign Jose Antonio Reyes on loan from Atletico Madrid.

August 9th - Marc Crosas signs for SPL champions Celtic from Barcelona.

August 10th - Bolton defender Abdoulaye Meite signs for WBA.

August 11th - Dario Simic signs for AS Monaco from AC Milan.

August 12th - Younes Kaboul signs for Portsmouth from Tottenham Hotspur.

August 13th - Digao signs for Standard Liege from AC Milan on a year long loan.

August 14th - Julio Baptista completes his move to AS Roma from Real Madrid. Morlon King goes to Hull City on a season long loan from Wigan Athletic.

August 15th - Chelsea have officially gotten rid of all the garbage they picked up last season. Caludio Pizzaro goes on loan to Werder Bremen for one year.

August 18th - Hamburg and Dortmund complete the swap deals of Zidan, going to Dortmund and Petric, going to Hamburg.

August 19th - Mateja Kezman signs for PSG from Fenerbahce on a year long loan.

August 20th - Djibril Cisse goes on a year long loan to Sunderland from Marseille. David Navarro signs for Mallorca on loan from Valencia. Mickael Silvestre signs for Arsenal from bitter rivals Manchester United.

August 21st - David Healy signs for Sunderland from Fullham. Armand Traore signs for Portsmouth of loan from Arsenal. Evander Sno signs for Ajax from Celtic. Steven Davis signs for Rangers from Fullham.

August 22nd - Vincent Kompany signs for Manchester City from Hamburger SV. Borja Valero signs for WBA from Mallorca. Shaun Maloney signs for Celtic from Aston Villa. Maurice Edu signs for Rangers from Toronto FC.

August 23rd - In another big summer transfer, former Ballon d'Or winner Andrei Shevchenko resigns for AC Milan from Chelsea FC.

August 24th - Rolando Bianchi signs for Torino from Manchester City.

August 25th - The world's best player, Philippe Senderos signs for Milan on a one-year loan from Arsenal with an option to make it pernement next year. Russian PL star Danny Alves signs for Zenit St.Petersburg from Dynamo Moscow for a Russian PL record €30million. Linvoy Primus signs for Charlton from Portsmouth.

August 26th - Liverpool, Aston Villa, Portsmouth and Lyon flop Milan Baros signs for Galatasaray  from Lyon.

August 27th - Alberto Paloschi signs for Parma from Milan in a co-ownership deal. Vincenzo Grella signs for Blackburn Rovers from Torino. Victore Obinna signs for Inter Milan from Chievo Verona and immidiatly goes on loan to Everton. Brazilian legend Rivaldo signs for Uzbekistan club Bunyodkor from AEK Athens.

August 28th - The transfer window is almost closed causing a rush of transfers. Shaun Wright-Phillips ends his Chelsea nightmare after signing for Manchester City. Alex Silva signs for Hamburger SV as a replacement for Vincent Kompany from Sao Paulo. Massimo Oddo signs for Bayern Munich on a one-year loan from AC Milan. Jeremy Menez signs for AS Roma from AS Monaco. Christian Brochi signs for Lazio from Milan. Segundo Castillo signs for Eveton from Red Star Belgrade on loan. Ever Banega signs for Atletcio Madrid on loan from Valencia. David Suazo signs for Benfica on loan from Inter Milan. Marcel Jansen signs for Hamburg SV from Bayern Munich.

August 29th - James Milner signs for Aston Villa from Newcastle United. Ebi Smolarek signs for Bolton from Racing Santander on a year long loan. Ibrahim Sonko signs for Stoke City from Reading. Louis Saha signs for Everton from Manchester United.

August 30th - Thiago Neves signs for Hamburger SV from Flumimense.

August 31st -  Roman Pavlyuchenko signs for Tottenham Hotspurs from Spartak Moscow.

September 1st - Nacho Gonzales signs for Newcastle United on loan from Valencia. Vedran Corluka signs for Tottenham Hotspurs from Manchester City. Kamil Zayatte signs for Hull City from Young Boys Bern on loan. Nadir Belhadj signs for Portsmouth on loan from RC Lens. Alberto Luque signs for Malaga on loan from Ajax. Steve Finnan signs for Espanyol from Liverpool FC. Andrey Voronin signs for Hertha Berlin on a year long loan from Liverpool FC. Kerlon signs for Chievo Verona from Cruzerio. Diego Milito signs for Genoa from Real Zaragoza. Albert Riera signs for Liverpool FC from Espanyol. George McCartney signs for Sunderland from West Ham. Xisco signs for Newcastle United from Deportivo la Coruna.

This transfer dealine day certainly disappoint with 3 world class players transfering. In one of the big 3 signings Inter Milan finally sign their man Ricardo Quaresma from FC Porto for €18.6 million, plus another €6 million in performance-based bonuses and midfielder Vitor Hugo Pélé. The second of the big three signings is Dimitar Berbatov signing for Manchester United from Tottenham Hotspur for £30.75 million plus Frazier Campbell on a season long loan. In the third of the big three final signings Robinho makes a suprise move to Manchester City from Real Madrid for a reported British record transfer fee of €42 million.

Any more transfers to come past the window? Arsenal are known for last minute transfers but none so far.
