When I first started writing blogs on Foxsports it seemed like there was at least 2 new blogs every time I looked, but now there is only 1 new blog about every 5 times I come on. Whenever I go on a computer I look to see if there is new blogs or new comments on my blogs. I don't know if it is because the NBA season is over, or people are just on the computer less during the summer. It could be because everyone is not having any ideas for a blog like me. Usually when I can't think of a blog to write I just write one with trade ideas, but I have already written enough of those and I have used all my good ideas. There hasn't been any big trades to blog about either and when one person writes about a trade there is no point in writing one that says the same thing. I'm not into baseball at all and I don't really watch football or know anything about it so I don't read those blogs. I like football, but I'm not a fan. After every Olympic basketball game there is always one or two blogs that talk about the game, but that doesn't interest me as much as a blog with trade ideas or one where a blogger is giving their opinion on something in the NBA. I wasn't blogging on Foxsports last season when Kobe Bryant demanded to be traded, but I bet there was probably a lot of blogs with trade ideas or bloggers hating on him. This offseason there is no superstar demanding a trade or even being widely shopped around the league. The Pistons said they want to change their team, but I haven't heard of them getting close to a blockbuster deal. All the big free agents are gone too so there is no rumors about where they will sign. I hope that once the season rolls around that there will be more blogs being written.
Ubershorty, calm down. You make great points about the lack of new blogs being due to the lack of blockbuster movement this offseason (don't get me started on the Pistons; they're screaming for a move!). Other than the Artest deal, no one of significance has been moved. And until there is something worthy of that kind of attention, there just won't be much new in the NBA blogs. Look on the bright side, though; at least there aren't any Brett Favre non-stories plaguing the NBA, though I heard Shawn Kemp signed in Europe!
Some of us appreciate the fact that with less NBA blogs right now a blog will stay on the front page for a few days and we get a chance to interact with various opinions on a subject someone like you have brought up. Just wait. Once the season starts you'll write something that takes you time and you're really interested in discussing and your blog will disappear in 15 minutes without a single response.
There's only so much one can talk about when it's the NBA offseason.
Here's an idea... since students are going back to school this month, write a blog talking about a back-to-school wishlist for players and teams. Try to add a humorous touch to it.
For example, Elton Brand... a bullet-proof vest when he comes back to the streets of L.A.
or
The San Antonio Spurs... a lifetime supply of Viagra, since they have trouble getting it up for the regular season.
Tsunami and Worst... the good ol' days are definitely missed, like eighties basketball.
I am a die-hard Lakers fan. I write a lot of blogs for foxsports. I know a lot of stuff about basketball and have been named "The Basketball Oracle" by my family because of my basketball knowledge. I'm a huge Kobe Bryant fan and think he is the best in the game today. L.A. Lakers - 08-09 NBA Champs!!!
