I have just one question. How will Lamar Odom be sixth man of the year if he's part of the Lakers starting 5?

Phil said he might have Lamar coming off the bench so I just went with that.

I do like seeing Big B on your third team, and in front of Greg Oden no less. I am looking forward to that coming true!!

I am SO surprised that you are predicting that the Lakers will win the championship!

In the games against the Celtics after the Donaghy press release, what about the results gives you hope that the Lakers will find a way to win against the Celtics' brand of "defense" this year?

I Know. Posey won't be with them, that must be it.

It would be better to hope that another team comes out of the east, perhaps the Cavs. Oh yeah, the Cavs always beat the Lakers...

Oh well, I hope you end up right, after all, the Lakers are America's team. It's going to be tough for Kobe to be considered one of the top 10 players of all time if he plays like he did in this year's finals (allowing his team to blow a 40 point lead), opts out for the Euro money, and can't get another title.

Rockets are probably the front runners if healthy(that is a pretty big If), I doubt Portland will make the playoffs and if they do it will be as an 8th or 7th seed.

Absolutely no chance in hell the Heat are gonna be in the 4th spot ahead of the healthy Washington Wizards, or the Toronto Raptors. Bosh, O'neal, and Calderon is a better trio than Wade, Marion duo(B-Eazy aint gonna have it so easy his first year).

Am I the only one who thinks people are sleeping on the Bucks? Never watched them play, but I somehow doubt they were playing with a winners mindset last year- with their squad and the Eye of the tiger they should be able to make the playoffs. I know they are definitely better than the Hawks, Heat, Pacers, Bulls, and Bobcats and can compete with teams like the Wizards, Cavs, Pistons, Raptors eastern playoff teams.

Hmmm.. Blazers at sixth seed. That's acceptable.

Beasley at ROY? Not seeing that. I'm partial to the Big Three of Oden, Bayless and Fernandez but see Kevin Love taking the hardware.

Coach Nate at Coach of the Year. That'd be great!

BUY-NONE on Third Team All NBA over Greg Oden? ROFLMAO.

Relic- Have another sip of the purple kool-aid with the rest of you Bynumators. ZAP- Odenized!!

So you have the Rockets (who still haven't beaten the Jazz in the playoffs in several years) going to the second round.
I just don't see it happening, don't count out a team like the Jazz, they are full of surprises.

Orman1006,
Maybe Oden should play a game before you say he is better than Bynum. He won't make 3rd team all nba in his rookie season.

I think Fisher will be a step slower...careful!

How many minutes could that Sun Yue guy get?

edclinchsaint,
I think that the Lakers should try starting Farmar next year and if that doesn't work then they should start Sun Yue. If he is as good as in the youtube videos than we there will be major matchup problems for other teams. The shortest person in the starting lineup would be 6'7 (kobe).

Ubershorty,
Hmmmm...If "The Zen Master" plans on having Odom come off the bench, I wonder just who the heck he plans on starting...could it be Ariza?

I'm fine with a 6th seed and a COY award that should have been Nate's last year.

6th man? Who starts in front of Odom?

I think the Spurs will be back and win a title.

pumpdude,
Actually I forgot about Amare, so he would probably be on the 3rd team instead of Bynum.

NBAistheworst,
Since the Celtics won the championship last year they probably won't be getting 38-10 freethrow advantages anymore and the Lakers will have a more experienced Pau, Bynum, Farmar, Odom, Sasha, and DJ Mbenga!!!

Uber,

If the series had gone 7 games (if the alleged "best player on the planet" had led his team to victory rather than defeat in a game they led by 40), the fixed game would have meant something.

The evenly called games showed the Celtics to be the superior team. LET'S HOPE BYNUM COMES BACK FROM HIS INJURY LIKE WADE!
