Stepping up for an ineffective Keenan Burton, Stevie Johnson once again played savior for the 2007 UK Football season. His catch against LSU gave the Cats the go-ahead score as UK beat a number 1 team for the first since -- say it loud -- 1964.
Go on with your bad self, Stevie. Should be an interesting college poll tomorrow.
The ripples of UK's victory over the University of Louisville continue to spread:
For the first time since 1984, the University of Kentucky football team finds itself ranked... in both polls, no less. That's right folks: UK IS A RANKED FOOTBALL TEAM!!!!
The Cats enter the polls at 21st in the AP and 23rd in the USA Today/Coaches Poll... and the post-UofL victory hits just keep on coming. I'm curious to see who is SEC Player of Week. My money goes on the guy below who just happens to be running away from some UofL defenders on his way to the winning touchdown, his second TD catch of the day.
If you can't figure out who I'm talking about after all these post-UofL entries, it is, of course, Stevie Johnson.
