Tebow, Gators Chomp Cats
Oct 20, 2007 | 5:18PM | report this

The Florida Gators escaped from Commonwealth Stadium today with a hard-fought 45-37 victory over the University of Kentucky Wildcats. In a game that saw plenty of offensive fireworks (and little defense), Tim Tebow and the Gators ultimately proved to be too much to handle for UK; particularly on the defensive side of the ball.

While the Cats never quit, they could never overcome their 1st half mistakes that saw them leave almost 21 points on the field. However, UK deserves a lot of credit for their efforts... as do the Gators, who reminded everybody their season isn't done.

Kudos to Florida who deserved to win, but they should probably thank some prominent deities they faced the Cats with an off-week to prepare... not to mention having the Cats after a taxing battle with LSU. True, that last statement sounds like a bitter loser, but after today's game, yeah, this one hurt. I'll be back later with a look back at the game.

Until then, GBB!!!

PS: I'm proud of this Cat team... more than words can say.

I thought the biggest factor in the game was the offensive line's inability to protect Woodson. I really believe he blew those 3 touch-down passes because he was worried he would be bent in half again.

We knew our D just wouldn't be able to stop Tebow. The boy is awesome. Those bad passes would have been TDs were the difference to me. Yes, our secondary just sucked tonight but the sacks were the biggest factor in our loss tonight.

I am really depressed right now:( This one did really hurt.

I do want to say I thought both teams played with class and respect for one another.

Also, I am so very proud of this team and love them. They have no quit in them! We will get into a great bowl game. Love my Cats!

Good to see you dear.

The 'Cats deserve a ton of credit and respect for the fight they put up, it was a good game, and as opposed to past years when the team may have folded the tent or imploded when behind, this team showed how far UK football has come. Congrats on a great game, although I am thankful and happy with the outcome!!

Goooooooooo GATORS!!

Without Woodson, can they sustain their success next year?

Nect year would be a reach but I do hear we have one coming that could be better than Woodson.

Is Jedi still in mourning about this one? He's taking it harder than BG.

You think you'd be used to it by now.

Sorry guys, I've been so f'ing busy here, I haven't had time to stop by...

And yeah, I am still kinda mourning a little, but not too much. I just hope they take it out on MSU on Saturday...

As for sustaining, yes, I think Pulley will do well next season, provided his #### can keep his grades up. Our running game will also be dominant... unfortunately, I'm more concerned about losing Stevie Johnson, Jacob, and Keenan. IMO, that'll hurt just as much as Andre'...

Altho, there's supposed to be a couple of redshirt receivers that are the real deal. Well, they are gonna get their chance to prove it.

And BGL, I THINK you are talking about Will Fiddler... unfortunately, he tore some muscles in his chest and might not be ready by NEXT YEAR from what I've heard.

I'm happy with Curtis Pulley... and our defense will be better.
