Leafs surprisingly good
Nov 21, 2005 | 7:29PM | report this
I have to say, we're a quarter of the way through the season and I'm shocked that the Leafs are even close to .500. It looks like John Fergeson Jr and his gang made some good decisions in shedding old guys like Owen Nolan, Gary Roberts, and Brian Leetch (I still think losing Leetch hurts--imaginee what Leetch and Bryan McCabe and his 30 points could do together on the PP).

It's nice to see young guys like Wellwood and Stajan getting burn, too. It's about time the Leafs played some young guys. Heck, it's about time the Leafs HAD young guys to play--it still feels like we're hurting from the mortgage that Cliff Fletcher took out on the future of the team back in the day to get Gilmour, et. al.
