Before we go ahead and ordain the patriots the SuperBowl winners lets consider firstly that this is football and anything can happen for example the Bears could be falling apart and the saints loosing there first 4 games. And second, the Patriots are not perfect (WHAT!?) , that’s right and guess what no team is. Let take a look a some facts to possible ice the swelling heads of some patriots fans who think they are on the mountain top.
1.) Sure the offense is chalk full of talent and depth… at wide receiver.
Besides Sammy Morris (who is hurt and out for a month or more) the patriots have little to no running game. Of course throwing is there game but, here is an universal truth if you cant control the clock with a competent running game than your going to have a tough time in the playoffs. Also you would think that the running game would benefit from a outrageous passing game.
2.) Let examine the defense that Brady Butchered
2 ranks overall and then vs. pass defense (sorry couldnt adjust spacing)
(overall) (vs. Pass)
jets
(29th) (26 *)
chargers
(18th) (27 *)
bills
(30th) (29)
Bengal’s
(31th) (28 **)
browns
(32nd) (31**)
cowboys
(6th) (12 *)
dolphins
(25th) (7 **)
redskins
(12th) (17)
*= have allowed 10 + Passing TD
**= have allowed 15 + passing TD
All those numbers are rankings in the out of the entire NFL. Heck, I think I could throw a TD on a couple of those teams. Likewise look at those teams on that list, it’s fair to say half of them are poor at best… what does that mean? Easy picking for a good defense… again what does that mean a short field with a bad defense.
All above = inflation of scores and statistic
3.) 8 teams in 9 weeks
Colts : Payton Manning doesn’t make mistakes, solid dual back running game, a defense that is solid but not star studded.
Bills: they will win this one, but they loose there steam coming off the bye
Eagles : when D.Nabb’s game is on he is one of the best, Westbrook is great when healthy, the Pat’s will face a D’ not afraid to run a 0 blitz whenever it wants.
Ravens: Pats will win by virtue that the ravens have no offense but they will be ####ed around.
Steelers: revenge is a dish best served cold, if they are undefeated to this point (which I doubt) look for the Steelers to come out looking to prove something. I havent forgot the AFC Champ game from a few years back and Im not a steelers fan but Im sure they want blood.
Jets: they should win …
Dolphins : trap,trap,trap
Gaints: solid O’, and speed rush defense, and its in there house.
What the hell are you talking about? Nothing you wrote really has any substance. The offense is pretty deep at all positions. Sammy Morris, Kevin Faulk and LAURENCE MARONEY are all average or above average backs, and with Billichik drawing up schemes, average backs like Morris and Faulk, become good backs, and good backs like Maroney become great backs.
The Patriots havent used the running game because they havent had to and because they want to keep Maroney healthy for when they do have to. In actuality, the Patriots have an excellent running game. Their line is strong and the fear their passing game instills in opponents will keep defense honest.
As far as the defenses Bady butcherd, those numbers are skewed because they have faced the Patriots. The Patriots can throw against anybody, and they have really dented other wise strong defenses' stats.
The only reason that the Patriots might not go undefeated is if they decide to take it easy and rest their starters, but i dont know if Belichik would do that.
The Patriots as is are one of the best teams in the history of the game and will show it this Sunday. They will march into the RCA dome, pass AND run all over the Colts defense and will win by at least two touchdowns. Patriots 41, Colts 24. Book It.

We'll see. I certainly understand folks thinking the Pats will also dominate the Colts.
However, the Colts defense is exceptionally fast and are as hard-hitting as any defense in the NFL. I'm not sure if anyone keeps stats on "key players injured" by a defense, but the Colts seem to be knocking opponents' starters out of the games in large numbers. They're not large, but they hit a ton.
If the Colts can't establish a punishing physical presence early, they may get baked. I think they WILL surprise NE with their defensive speed and impact, enough to eek out a win.
The fact that you totally forgot to mention Laurence Maroney (who rushed AND received for over a 100 yards in the Redskins game) in your first point makes me wonder whether any of your arguments are credible.
First, Im going to just straight up ignore Chittownsfinest comment because there is no consideration of what I have said just a simple refutation by a individual whom refuses to believe there is anything wrong with there favorite team.
open your mind a bit and look at things in perspective, be a football fan.
SriLankanpatfan, with all do respect look at the box score
Laurance Maroney did not catch a pass and rushed for 75 yards on 14 carries against the Redskins... maybe your thinking about Brain Westbrook.
The reason why I havent mention Laurance Maroney is because he and Faulk havent produced in the way of scoring. From what I have seen and I have seen most Pats' games this year is that they dont rush the ball consistantly until the garbage time of the 4 th.

The patriots are like the yankees. And as far as Im concerned if the Pats were so superb why had there 21 game win streak been shut down a long time ago by the Steelers. I know what you are thinking that is a thing of the past and means nothing, but it does. The Steelers and Pats play Dec. 9. Dont you think Billy Boy looks back and thinks I hope that doesnt happen again. If there is any team that the Pats should be scared of it is the Steelers. I think ole Bill get a lil nervous when the Black and Gold come about because he knows what we are capable of and he knows we hate em. So watch out Dec. 9 cuz we are comin.
Firstly , I would like to apologize in advance for offending anyone.
I'm very offensive its my gift ... and my curse.
I live in Upstate NY, which automatically makes me loyal to New York teams.
I'm a Huge Football fan live it , play it , breath it. But I watch basically every sport that is on tv or ESPN.
But I prefer any team that gels and plays with great team chemistry.
Most of what I say is either meant to be Ironic or a Contrapositiv e.
It's all in good fun.
