After searching for other places to blog, I returned to FoxSports. Why? I don't know. It still seems like the same ole blog though.
There are those in that "clique" before I left. Yes it's silly to talk about a "clique" or "CLICK".
Only those in this group get numerous comments to their blogs. I need not name them, they are obvious.
This isn't a WHINING POST by any means. I would just like to see more balance. I'd like to see some of the less heralded bloggers and the new bloggers get some comments to keep them here.
I am guilty also. However, if I see a new blogger, I will comment. I don't always have time to post comments because I rarely have time to even write a blog.
I just wanted to rant.
So let's unite as a community of bloggers and keep the ones we have. Plus make the new ones feel welcome ( if you already haven't ).
Actually, I was surprised to recieved quite a few comments to my last few posts. Of course that dried up pretty quick, but that's okay.
Maybe I need to write about something besides my Huskers, but as long as it's Husker football season, that is my topic. :o)
I know what you mean. I think the only way to get a lot of comments is to write about the current hot topics or about the teams that get the most media coverage. It's annoying, but what are you going to do?
88- Blogging is about debating opinions, not number of comments.
Try not to let it frustrate you that Fox feeds "Hits" to people just because they know someone. The "Clique" only exists in those people's minds and they miss out on a lot of good write-ups if they only read their buddies' blogs.
It's their loss!
There are still plenty of people that will read and comment if you have something worhtwhile posted.
The NASCAR regular bloggers all aprreciate you and are a much stronger group than the "clique" anyways.
So blog on, keep it real, and don't worry about amatuer writers ignoring you if you don't cater to them, because No One on this site is a perfect writer.

Texascudaguy...thanks for stopping by.
I'm not angry or jealous. I didn't mean to come across that way in my post. I was just bringing attention to "the little guy".
I agree tho with your comment above...there are a lot of great newcomers...we need to comment on them, make them feel welcome so we don't lose them.
oh.. I didn't take it that you were angry. Even some of the popular bloggers that do get a lot of comments share your same frustration. They, along with many of us, feel new bloggers should be appreciated more and welcomed into the community.
We've been told Fox is working on some changes to the site that should adresss some technical issues that make it difficult for "little guys" to get noticed and even for some bloggers that are in different areas to have a little more visibilty.
All we can do is be patient, and hope they help it more than hurt it. Take care, and good post.
no, I don't think you sound like a cry baby. You sound like your tring to bring some attention to the new guys (ME) I admit, getting a bunch of comments is exciting, but getting funny comments or comments that inspire more thought are best. I love some of the jokes...
sls: if that shirt was 2 sizes smaller, never mind. 88 do as the man says and nobody gets hurt lol
Marty Walker was doing a great thing with "Daily Gameballs" that helps everyone out, even introducing new bloggers, but he's dealing with some health things right now.
Maybe someone should do a weekly peice promoting a "little guy" along with a "long timer" and help bridge the gap between the 2. The long timers that are here for blogging instead of comment counts would be all for it, and i'm sure the new bloggers could benefit from it.
Long time no read. Good to hear from you. I have to agree on your thoughts. I would imagine there are cliques and now a non existent NASCAR Mafia but have never found any evidence of such.

PHOTO...yes great to hear from you again also sir.
No comment on the avatar?
NASCAR seems to be getting out of control as far as drivers going at one another. But maybe that's just entertainment because the race is only a 2 man show now. Not the excitement France thought he'd bring this year.
Sometimes you never know when an entry will get comments. I keep mine to around 5 paragraphs. I also try to be funny and poignant. You know where I'm coming from, and you don't have to invest much time to find out. I've had an innocuous entry get 150 comments. I've had what I felt to be a good entry get zero. It's part of the game.
F88, I like getting the new guys noticed, and I plan on continuing. Ask Lisa, I would never have gotten so far so fast if it hadn't been for her advice. Thanks, Lise!
88:Welcome back. I write whenever I feel it/do make comments on most blogs, but see not many on mine either. Name of the game, I guess. Lost several great bloggers, some voluntary, some by Foz. Have been ready to quit all together several times (and still might) because of the sometimes rude and obscene comments often seen in this venue. Fuzz
That is why we have to police the site ourselves ( judge, jury, and executioner) and make life miserable till the offenders go away.
The biggest ones I see are from the front page that never post an editorial but have plenty to say about every body else on this section. just takes a little gumption to hassel them back.
I will write a BIO one day...quit pressuring me FOX!!!!!! Just Kidding. Much like everything else...don't have the time. Here's a preview...mar ried, 2 girls, one on the way. UK Wildcats. Oakland Raiders. Cincinnati Bengals. THE Ohio State Buckeyes. Kurt Warner. Randy Moss. My motto here as of lately, " Ahh, frig it! That's life, deal with it!"
