Way to go Burton for grabbing the pole! Early qualifing might have played a roll in it but either way I am pulling for you to get at least a top 10 out of it. My faviorate rookie Denny Hamlin is hungry and I would be suprised if he didn't place within the top ten. I like Jimmie Johnson however his record at Indy is not that impressive; his team mate and car co-owner Jeff Gordon is looking for his Fifth, qualifing 16th and some would call him the "King of Indy," However, I think attitudes will come into play and wouldn't be supprised if some sort of revenge or road rage takes place Sunday. Tires will sure be a factor and pitt stratagy will play an important roll. So whose my pick to win?

I am looking for a seasoned veteran to win Bobby Labonte and he will have alot of work to do to pull it off. If he dosn't win a top 10 would be nice. Lets go Bobby!!!!

Kyle Busch gets his first win of the 06 season; his win with Harvick’s 5th and Denny Hamlin coasting in at 6th place put team #3 TXHolyWrit on Top in the Nextel Ultimate Fantasy League. Not bad for only my second week in the league. Tony Stewart lost four spots and got bumped out of the top 10 after a run-in with Ryan Newman on lap 91.  Newman is completely out of the picture in the Race for the Chase; However many believe that Stewart still has a shot with 7 races left. A lot can happen between now and then and we’ll just have to take it a week at a time and see what happens.

Denny Hamlin remains on top of the rookie standings, way to go Denny.

I know I was kind of hoping for a win for Bobby Labonte for my wife, who by the way did get discharged from the hospital and got to watch the race with me at home, thanks to everyone for your prayers and wishes. Bobby sure got ####ed up during the race and was able to get into the top 10 a couple of times, but bad pit stops seemed to put a hamper on that happening and he placed 23rd, another great effort for Petty Enterprises.

Next week finds us back at Pocono for the Pennsylvania 500 where Denny Hamlin had an amazing win from the pole in June. He is my pick for the win and in doing so will put him back in the race for the chase.

Question: Who is your favorite to win the Pennsylvania 500?

Busch at NH

Carl Edwards pulls off his 3rd win of the season to keep his fans flipping, edging out point’s leader Kevin Harvick and the hard charging Denny Hamlin. NASCAR officials found it necessary to warn both Harvick and Hamlin for their bumping and grinding or what they consider aggressive driving; I can’t help but wonder if this is just a prelude to what we can expect to see during the Nextel Lenox Industrial Tools 300 later today. Clint Bowyer led the most laps however a late caution put him at the back of the pack, he made a remarkable run back towards the front and finished 5th. Good job Clint.

Question: What’s your opinion about a driver whose glove ends up on the track and draws a caution?

My opinion is that it’s totally uncalled for although somewhat humorous; I conjure up pictures of someone on the pit crew streaking across the infield…..lol, what’s next? Aaron Fike don't feel bad this isn't the first time it's happened, probably wont be the last.

Due to recent conflicts with people who are intent on bashing true NASCAR/FOX Sports bloggers rather than sharing in an educated and intelligent adventure, it has become necessary to screen comments before they are posted to this site.
