I HAVE TO TAKE MY HAT, off the Cleveland Browns signed Crennel to a extention earlier and now there on the verge of signing Derek Anderson to a 3 year extention.Cleveland is obviously,thinking of challenging for a Super Bowl in 2008.Now you have to ask yourself  how long will Brady Quinn,sit still and play the nice soldier,he's a competitor how is he going to take it going into camp with no real chance of starting,unless a injury occurs to Derek,now Cleveland needs to draft a speedy running back in the draft, and they will be on there way ,signing Jamal Lewis is a no brainer.

Dallas gave up to much to get J Kidd,yes he is the second best point guard in the league,behind Steve Nash,but 2 number ones Devin Harris, a servicable big man in Diop,and a throw in in Keith Van Horn who came back for the 4 million ,and the Nets are also getting 3 million in cash.If the Mavs tank out early in the playoffs, the Nets got the better of the deal,now if Dallas wins the championship then Dallas came out ahead.Don't think they have enough to win it, though,its sad day when a player who hasn't won a title can pretty much say he wants out, and he gets traded to a team that he chooses like he has a right to a championship likes its owed to him.Plenty  of players are doing this today,and it stinks.

If there wasn't pressure from outside sources Bud would not be in the stadium the night Bonds breaks the record,you know the homerun record,the one currently held by Henry Aaron.Bud why are you going ,you feel like the magority of us that Bonds used illegal substances ,that Bonds cheated, just because outside groups put the pressure on,you should of held to your convictions ,of course you would of been blasted but so what ,your getting blasted now for looking the other way during the the Steroid Scandel.Now I know why you did nothing when,slap hitters like   Brady Anderson started hitting 50 homeruns, the Game was suffering,The Game,needed a make over and from 1998  to 2004 it got one ,then a bitter broke Jose Canseco started writing BOOKS and the game has never been the same.Now we have guys like Ryan Howard popping up and hitting 58 dingers and people are saying ,maybe he's on steroids,Ryan Howard is 6''5 260 and young ,why would he need steroids at 24 or 25 years old,it's the dark cloud that hovers over baseball that won't go away. See Hank, won't be there because Hank is not a fake he feels Bonds is  a cheat and a fake so he's not going to be there.Then again Hank isn't the Commisioner, of Baseball ,but in a time when  everyone from that era 1998-2004 is a suspect,why not hold on to your beliefs just once, I wouldn't go if I was the Commisioner.

So when Barry breaks the record and you stand there with a fake smile and you congratulates him , and give ahalf speech about the record and so on ,you could of  stuck to your original line I DO HAVE A   DAY JOB, AND NOT BEEN THERE.

I ask this because americians kill people on the regular and beat the charges or they use the crutch that there crazy.Hell I can rattle off case after case where people have killed people and said they were mentally impaired at the time.How about the lady in Texas , I believe she drowned all 5 of her kids and I believe shes in a mental hospital being observed.

How about the lady who shot her husband in the back,her husband was a preacher , I BELIEVED he wanted kinky sex with his wife ,and that was enough to set her off..She got no time.The nerve of the guy.

What about the inhumane way SOME Preist  treat lil boys,and they go from one church to the next to continue there inhumane ways.There not even charged with a crime,now  this brings me to Michael Vick.I believe he is guilty as sin but if he goes to prison for dog fighting you have to ask yourself is a dogs life more important than a human beings, what he is charged with is a crime I'm not debating that but ITS DOGS ,DOGS AREN'T PEOPLE,

THERE talking up to five years in prison  ,5 years for for transporting dogs across state lines and fighting.Some murderers do less time.Hell if you were white and killed a minorities  from 1860 up until 1970  and you hailed from a southern state 9 times out of 10 you wouldn't been charged with a crime at all.IF you think I'M  rambling look at the history,oh I forgot the justice department would open the case again 40 years later when the assailants were old or dead.

NOW you have the FBI and Congress trying to put famous athlete in prison for dog fighting ,this case is getting the same attention as O.J Simpson and you know what I DON'T KNOW IF jUICE DID IT,BUT I FEEL HE KNOWS WHO did it,and I believe he beat the charges once again is a dogs life just as important,as a humans because people kill people for all sorts of reasons and plenty of them beat the charges or get slap on the wrist.

They have one ,he plays in Cincinati ,his name is Ken Griffey Jr,he has played the game with a passion  and a smile from day one. The reason we don't gravitate to him anymore is because he's injury prone and too nice.

We live in a society thats  adores problem childs ,America loves characters,  we like Boomer  because we know he's gonna say something funny or controversial, we like Schilling he's a character too ,we liked the moodiness and bad attitude of Randy Johnson.We love Barry Bonds,and you know why because over the years he gave us what we wanted attitudes and quotes and stares we still eat it up.

So guys like Griffey,Jeter, Sweeney,who do there job well but are as quotable as a  rock we ignore.

So when the media says baseball   needs  a hero they have plenty but, but the media like controversial figures.It's like the channel 7 news or cnn news show the bad news first  and often , how many times did they repeat the 101 year old lady getting beat down by that savage.

OH well ,maybe we can talk more about good guys .....whoops can't do that they  don't sell enough papers  or get enough hits on there websites.

Well Barry Bonds is on the verge of breaking Hanks homerun record ,we all know this but let truth be told Hammering Hank hit about 1000 homeruns if you include his #### League stats.

Please don't say those don't count  because there are tons of players who played in the Magor Leagues  and  the #### Leagues.

Since baseball is about numbers and stats,Hank Aaron is all time rbi leader  with 2,297,extra base hits 1,477,total bases 6,856 ,24 all star appearances,24 all star appearances that means Hank was great for 24 years  thats  unheard of.There are other stats like hits,  most seasons with at least 150.

Every few years New York city produces a prodigy point guard  and by the time there in 9th grade there anointed the next  whoever,and for the next 4 years until they go to college there already a first round pick because of potential and hype.

True some of the prodigies had long successful careers but none of them changed the game.Lets go back to 80'S when a point guard by the name of Pearl Washington  entered Syracuse,he was fabulous in College and horrible in the league for the Nets and Heat.

In the 90's you had Kenny Smith  who was solid in the Pros ,but not great,Mark Jackson was a very good point guard  but not great not ,Kenny Anderson was solid but nothing special on the pro level yes he did have a wrist injury that slowed him down ,but he didnt live up to the hype,Rod Strickland solid but not great.

Now we have Marbury,and his cousin Sebastion Telfair once again Marbury can score points but he isnt a special player,Telfair is all hype.Then you had players who believed the hype and left school way to early,Omar Cook remember him,Kareem Reid,God Shammagod ,even Shaheen Holloway although he stayed four years in college.

All prodigies who were projected saviors comming out of highschool but who turned out to be solid or busts.Then again its us who look for the next hot thing,look at soccer prodigy,Freddy Adu traded once and the jury still out on him.Michelle Wie is another child prodigy.

Can we hold off on calling some one the next so and so until they at least put 3 years in on the professional level.
