Rough Draft for the NFL Draft
Apr 22, 2008 | 4:07PM | report this

With the #1 overall pick, the Miami Dolphins select... Jake Long, tackle out of Michigian. WIth that outta the way, the real fun can begin. Who's moving up? Who's trading down? Who's going to make the first horrible "Ted Ginn Jr." reach? And who's going to fall faster then Aaron Rodgers and Brady Quinn combined?

I love the NFL draft and everything about it. I love hearing the commish call out guys names, then the postion that the team EXPECTS them to play at, even if the kid's never tried it before in his life. I love the talking heads yealling and screaming over selections. I love the fans yelling and screaming over selections. Hell, I even love yelling and screaming about selections!

Given that, I'm letting it be known here that I will be blogging the draft here. Why, you may ask. Because I can. So, check back here Saturday during the draft for my takes on the players, commentators, fans, and the girlfriends that will be on display. Oh, and you know how some of those guys like Berman, McShay, and Kiper have unadulterated mancrushes on certain guys? I've got one as well. Who? Jonathon Stewart out of Oregon. I played against the guy in high school, so be prepared for some unabridged manlove when he comes off the board. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Feel free to ask questions about guys and teams in the comments here or Saturday and I will try to give you my insite as best I can. I've played football my entire life, as a lineman no less, so I'm pretty confident in my ability to breakdown why Branden Albert is a high risk, high reward pick at #5 to the Chiefs if that happens. Oh...my top 5

1. Jake Long

2. Rams: Glenn Dorsey

3. Falcons: Either Matt Ryan or Chris Long, probably Ryan

4. Raiders: I hope to God it's Chris Long, but it'll probably be Darren McFadden

5. Chiefs: Chris Long or Vernon Gholston if they trade Jared Allen or they reach for Albert

Look forward to the draft this weekend and your question. Oh, and I told you Alexander was done in Seattle. You can bow down to me now. Just kidding...but seriously, I told you so.

viagra I'm a Seattle sports fan with nothing better to do then to complain about sports. Be it the Mariners, Sonics, Seahawks, the UW Huskies, or anything else that trips my trigger, I'll always write how I feel about any given topic. I love college and pro football, but all sports are on display here.
