Onda local radio show, after the Texan's lost to the Colt's Sunday...Gary Kubiak said that he told Sage Rosenfels to try to git down toda Colt 40 yard-line and throw a cupla "Hail Mary's" inda end-zone and... let's go home with a victory...There was 1:57 left inda game when he imparted that bit of genius strategy to his QB...mebbe that's why Sage failed to spike the ball at mid-field after a first-down and  50 seconds left onda clock..."Hail Mary's?!?!?...Good job, Kubes...

Da Stevo see's today's Texans vs. Colts game as an opportunity ferda Texans to regroup and find out what they're made of...On paper and on how each of the teams have fared in recent weeks, it appears to be a no-brainer that the Colts should not only beat 'em but cover the 8 anna half spread with ease...after all, Sage Rosenfels ineptness and Peyton Mannings resurgence, not withstanding, The Texans have never won in Indy...and we all know 'bout the meltdown last time they met in H-Town...Making this the perfect game for Gary Kubiak and SR to make amends...Fixxit...Kubes...needa Band-Aid?!?!?

Azza Texans fan and knowing that this is the most talented team that they have put together in their existence..yup, sports fans, it izzz....It's hard to accept the fact that this team has jus' fallen apart even tho' at this moment, it appears that that is the case...

It's time fer Kubiak and his staff to step-up toda plate...This dude's expertise is allegedly grooming and mentoring QB's and how he gets Rosenfels mentally prepared for this game is gonna be a true test of his acumen in this department...Coaches are hired for jus' this sort of situation and it separates the men fromda boys at that level...After all, by definition, coach vb: to instruct, direct or prompt as a coach. Merriam Webster.. puts this daunting task, on his job description...I mean, Hell...even I can teach 'em howta throw a cupla three/four interceptions and fumble da football...

They got two guys that QB their team...One Matt Schaub that's injury-prone and always will be (regardless of Jared Allen's illegal hit)...and another Sage Rosenfels that's evidently, mistake-prone.  To make a long story short, both guys are what they are: Back-up quarterbacks, at best...

How long before guys like Andre Johnson, Mario Williams, true superstars onna team that's goin' nowhere, are ready to bail?...How long before Gary Kubiak, a Texas fav'rit son, is kicked toda curb?  Rick Smith, GM?...and once again, we start from scratch...

Do it NOW, Texans...Grab Harrell inda draft and throw some dollars to Cowher or Jimmy Johnson...an offer they can't refuse and do some damage control ASAP!!!...A lot uvvus ain't gittin' no younger...Instead of lookin' at a cupla years atda beginnin' ofda season...we're back to lookin' at 4 or 5...No defense...no red-zone offense

Like most people, Da Stevo watched the Alabama/LSU game yesterday and if anythang, it made me realize how truly lame the BCS polls are...As of this writing, they have yet to be updated but I'm gonna go out onna limb here and say that they will still have da Crimson Tide ranked #1.  (Yeah, like they could beat Texas Tech fer crissake)

I don't much care whether or not any team is undefeated or not.  Unfortunately, whether we like it or not, Strength of Schedule is the only way to really decide if one team is better than the other....and even da dorks that try to figger that out have their heads up their collective arses..  Witness 'Bamas slate:

My first impulse on this game tells me that Texas should win by 3 TD's...Then again..I could see Texas winnin' da game but not coverin' the spread...The thang that stands out to me is how this team seems to be gittin' better and better and as long as Colt McCoy is runnin' this offense, try as I might, I jus' can't see anybody stoppin' em..'Specially in Austin in front of 100,000 fans..

Oklahoma State has proven that they can win on the road..but Da Stevo's thankin' that Missouri mighta been justa li'l overrated and Oklahoma State, quite the opposite...They have an offense that can control the clock ( see above: Robinson, Hunter and Bryant) and if they manage to jump out in front early..they could have a chance...Past history between these teams indicates otherwise and I don't see it changin' today.

This game looms large for both teams but it's also the biggest stage Oklahoma State has ever been exposed to....Texas is use to da BIG STAGE and that fact alone should turn out to be the difference..well...that...and....you know who...
