I agree Messier, Nabokov deserved to win the Vezina, and I'm not just saying that b/c I'm a Sharks fan. No doubt Brodeur and Lundqvist played great, Nabokov just played better. I also wouldn't have picked Malkin, he can't take a hit as he proved it against Detroit.

I have to agree with the Evgeni Nabokov. Could have just as easily been Brodeur, but E/Nab had more wins and a better GGA in reg season. Splitting hairs with two of the greats. I wouldn't get upset about it.
I have to say I love the fact they put Dion on with lidstrum. Iggy is going to always be there as the right winger. Detroit has 2 players on the first team, but so does Calgary. Its nice to know that Calgary has the right pieces, they just need some secondary players to step up and maybe Kipper will play well when everyone elese does. It could be debated that other players should be on the team instead of some. If some players were playing with better supporting casts they'd do better, and if some players had better players with them, they wouldn't shine as much. Its nice to see that Kovalev got some mention....but I think there might have been some players overlooked because kovi steped up when needed.
sharkfan- I guess finishing 2nd in the league in points, being an MVP candidate, and carrying the team on his back for the better part of two months should count for nothing. Malkin more then deserves that spot.
I suppose he deserves it if this were a line in the regular season. If this were a post seaon line, Malkin would most likely do nothing as soon as the going got tough. He has to count on the player around him because he hates physical play
I am not going to excuse how Malkin played in the Finals, because he did play very poorly, but he still played very well throughout the first 3 rounds. And that not being physical stuff is junk. Maybe you didn't see when he put Ovechkin on his #### when he tried to line him up in a game this year. And the man battles for pucks, thats how he created for his teammates around him.
