Clint Bowyer: Earned the pole led the most laps and won the race...can't get hotter than that.
Jeff Gordon: Came in second at New Hampshire. I'll second that.
Jimmie Johnson: Can he win the Nextel Cup Championship for the second year in a row? If he continues to run like he did on Sunday, it seems like he can.
Tony Stewart: Stayed in the top-ten throughout most of Sunday, keeping the label of third hottest driver on the circuit behind Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson.
Kevin Harvick: Avoided a wreck with smooth moves and fought to finish 17th Sunday.
Not
Kurt Busch: Just couldn't match the effort by his brother Kyle (who finished fourth). Engine problems caused some friction and dropped him to a 25th-place result.
Kasey Kahne: Another medicore showing one year after he was one of the best drivers in the series.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.: Same as always this year - leaves fans hoping for more.
Regan Smith: Looked like he was playing bumper cars on Sunday, no wonder he finished four laps behind.
Hey Cindi, welcome back. We missed you. Good post and analysis. Somehow Bud and Kasey Kahne just don't go together.
Harvick had a top 10 car until he had a tire issue a little more than halfway into the race. It's the second time a tire issue has cost him in a race (He had the spring race at California won until he cut a tire on the last restart).
Like I've said before, not a big NASCAR fan here-probably for no other reason than I haven't watched it much. But always like to see your writing. Heck, you even brought out MeanD's alter ego. You MUST be big time.
Y'all make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!! Thank you all for stopping by and commenting! God Bless y'all!
I love you too Lisa but it's just the facts here ma'am. lol. My account is messed up too so don't take it personal if I can't get more than one comment or two. It's storming here and messing with my computer. love u! :-)
Well, I can't disagree with anything you said....bummmer! LOL
It's surreal that Kasey Kahne will have a car insurance sponsor and a beer sponsor.... interesting marketing and branding ideas for next year - looking forward to the commercials!!
Good Morning Cindi!!! I hope you are well. Can't really argue with your assessments here. I would love to see someone besides Johnson, Gordon, Stewart, or Kenseth win it this year.
Give us an update of your condition...if that's okay.

Anything that'll indicate that either Gordon or Johnson is in with a chance is fine by me. As for howe the season has unfolded I can't say how surprised I am that Dale Jr didn't make it to the Chase once again. Hopefully the 08 season will bring him better luck ? As for 'Smoke' he to my mind is the 'dark horse' in all of this. He's aggressive enough and has enough guile to outsmart the rest of the competitors in the Chase.
Lisa H: Like I wouldn't know who you were! Come on! Sorry about your account. Messed with it did they? Love you sis and thanks for dropping by and commenting!
Hugs

My obsession is Nascar, always has, always will. I also enjoy sports of almost any kind, competition is just something I enjoy. I'm not a little girl, but a woman with a son that's grown and out of the house(YAY). I was blessed to be born on the southern side of the Mason-Dixon line. I love racing, I love everything to do with racing and will continue to love it till the day I die. !
