FOXBLOGGERS BOW TO THE REVEREND!!!
Dec 27, 2006 | 9:26PM | report this

Hey, it's early and I might not get another chance to brag... but I thought I'd take a brief moment to say to you all... "WHO'S YOUR DADDY?"

(Please consult your FoxBlogger standings before continuing)

Florida Flavor had no faith in Florida State and their OC's final game.... Come on, dude.  You KNEW his daddy would be feeding him the plays.

My boy, Meechigan, I haven't read his blog yet, but he's ranked just behind me, eerily comparable to how Michigan finished right behind Florida, ain't it?

Pete_Nice... we know he's just coasting til the bartender brings him his next round of Zimas.

And the Sports Intellectual either needs to loosen up his suspenders or stop studying Japanese poetry so intently.

Here's hoping I don't have to trash talk all bowl season.

Here's a big amen to that last line! Nice shot at the Michigan guy. If this keeps up I'm definitely switching to wine coolers.

PAC-10...0-3 so far. All is right in the world again. ASU,Oregon, and UCLA have given up 124 points between them!! Whew-weeeeeeeeeeee, talk about some staunch DEFENSE!!! I think I feel a strength=of-schedule blog coming on.....

Enjoy it while it lasts Rev. I gotta go re-assign some "confidence points" to whoever is playing the PAC-10 teams.

Good point on the Pac-10, Petey. I hadn't even thought about that. Guess it's because I'm so used to them bending over for real teams.

Once again, a conference that shows such promise in the pre-season, underachieves all season long. If they hadn't had been able to boast USC's success in recent years, we'd consider them the sixth best conference in college football.

I expected good things out of Cal, Oregon and UCLA. But it seems we have the same conversation around this time every year... since only one of those teams can make a January bowl game.

Cindi... how 'bout a curtsie?

We have only played 2 bowl games?...lol. Little early for smack talk don't ya think?

Pete the PAC-10 does look to be a joke does it not? I really thought UCLA had a chance. Man did they f' it up!

LSU-I picked UCLA and I actually watched the game until that last pick. They totally ####ked it up. They just held the mighty Trojans to 9 points!! How can you possibly give up 44 (I know 2 scores weren't offensive) points to a #### FSU squad. Granted, FSU is actually stacked but for some reason could not put it together this year. They definitely need an up-grade at QB.

Rev-Here's to hoping that it comes down to you & me and the Jan. 8 showdown for all the marbles. Speaking of marbles, where the hell is Balzac and why isn't she in the pick-em???

Chux- Thank you for teaching me something...cards isn't about guessing. No wonder I lose all the time. Man, I could be buying alot more Zima with that extra $$.

I have said it all year that there is only 1 team in the PAC-10 (USC) and that they didnt even impress me for their talent level. 0-3 with 2 losses to non-BCS teams and a 6-6 team from the basketball conference. The PAC-10 is a joke! Thats why I didnt understand how USC was still #2 after losing to Oregon State. The eyes are being opened now though arent they?

Yep, wide open. Now root, root, root for the Big Ten. I think I might re=assign some confidence points to the Rose Bowl. Dare I say...GO MICHIGAN!!!!! I need a drink.

Maybe the PAC-10 #2 (Cal) can beat the Big-12 #5 (Texas AM) or the PAC-10 #3 (Oregon State) can beat the Big-12 #6 (Mizzou)? Do you notice a trend in the PAC-10's opponents? All lower ranked in their conference or a non-BCS team. USC is the only team in the PAC-10 who will play equal competition.

Pete, I am rooting for the Big-10 all the way. I dont see a sweep but I am eagerly anticipating the Big-10 vs. SEC matchups (3X) as I think that they will be the most competitive bowl games. Yes, I am even rooting for The Team Up North. USC is not ever going to be the same minus 1 Reggie Bush and I think that even USC fans are starting to see that now. No magical comebacks. If the Team Up North gets pressure like I think that they will on JDB it will be a long day for USC fans.

Yes, by the looks of the PAC-10 defenses I have seen thus far, I think it is safe to assume that USC will be unpleasantly surprised by Michigan's defense. So, the next question is... how good is Arkansas's defense????

Hey Rev, I think if you go by total picks right, there are 6 or more of us tied. YOu just put all of your quality points on FSU. Otherwise, you and I are all tied up. In the end, the most correct picks will end up winning this, but those confidence points are a definite twist.

I think that Arkansas just wasnt quite ready the first game of the season so I dont think that they are as bad as that game would indicate but I am deffinitely picking the Badgers in that game. Everyone can thank the SEC though because that win over Arkansas is the only reason USC was still in the title hunt so late in the year. It didnt make sense that they were giving USC + points for beating Arkansas and at the same time giving LSU (who plays in Arkansas' division) the 2nd SEC BCS bid before the SEC title game was even played. And we all know what The Team Up North did to the lowly "no business in the BCS" Notre Dame Irish!

I agree Buck. I go back and forth on the Wisc.-Ark. match-up. Too much SEC influence from these blogs no doubt. I have wisconsin winning for now.

Baked-UCLA let me down too. I can't believe that bowl-pick-em actually had me caring about that game (as I watched). Terrible. It was Michigan State-esque.

SoCal: Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's total POINTS that wins this thing, not best record of picks. Unlike the BCS, this pool is able to determine who's more deserving of victory between two 11-1 teams. Guess this is what they mean by "style points."

Haha damn straight I had no faith in that guy. I guess I overestimated UCLA because FSU's offense is terrible no matter how you look at it. I wish this thing had all the damn bowls because I started 8-0 in ESPN until FSU threw that curveball.

Rev, total points wins it, but it can be a misleading stat right now. You have to look at how many quality points an entry has left because each one of us valued certain games more. For me, I have a lot riding on the final game, hoping I choose right and everyone else chooses wrong. I also put very few QP's on huge spreads because you might win your pick, but lose on the spread. Strategy will win this thing in the end.

Bama plus the 3.5 for for 9.
A&M plus the 5.5 for 10.
Rutgets minus the 7.5 for 24.

And Balzac is the least racist Irish-Italian you'll ever meet. Ask him about the time he got his asked kicked in college for asking someone not to use the "n" word.
