Week one is always the hardest to pick since the experts have nothing to compare the teams other than last year. This week the experts should be a little closer. Here is mine and my PlayStation 3's attempts at beating the experts. As usual, spread winners are in bold.

We’re putting up our picks a little earlier this week so our readers can comment on them if they choose. This week will go a long way in deciding which teams are still going to be in the race for the Big 12 Championship. As always spread winners are in bold.
Last week: RedRaiderMath2007 (3-2 SU, 1-4 ATS), j-daddy (4-1 SU, 2-3 ATS), NCAA Football 08 (3-2 SU, 4-1 ATS)
Overall: RedRaiderMath2007 (15-8 SU, 9-14 ATS), j-daddy (17-6 SU, 11-12 ATS), NCAA Football 08 (15-8 SU, 10-13 ATS)
Many questions still arise in week nine of the season. Can Texas Tech bounce back after a horrible showing in Columbia? Can Missouri keep it going and avoid the hangover (i.e. avoid pulling an Oklahoma and overlooking Iowa State)? Will Nebraska give up another 40 points? Will Baylor win a game in Big 12 play? Is Kansas for real, or just a product of a weak early schedule? Here are our picks for the week: Spread winners are in bold.
RedRaiderMath2007: Last Week (3-3 SU, 3-3 ATS) Overall (12-6 SU, 8-10 ATS)
j-daddy: Last Week (4-2 SU, 2-4 ATS) Overall (13-5 SU, 9-9 ATS)
NCAA Football 08: Last Week (4-2 SU, 3-3 ATS) Overall (12-6 SU, 6-12 ATS)
So our first two weeks were kind of rough against the spread, but I feel more confident this week. There are a couple of good games this week, but a couple only a few people care about. Who will make it through the weekend? Will it be Coach Fran or Callahan? Can Tech’s defense keep it going or will Missouri come back strong after a tough loss on the road? Here are this weeks picks, as always spread winners are in bold:
RedRaiderMath2007—Last Week: 5-1 SU, 3-3 ATS Overall: 9-3 SU, 5-7 ATS
j-daddy—Last Week: 5-1 SU, 4-2 ATS Overall: 9-3 SU, 7-5 ATS
NCAA Football 08—Last Week: 4-2 SU, 1-5 ATS Overall: 8-4 SU, 3-9 ATS
Last week we got called out for only hitting two games against the spread, so this week, we decided we’d do better. Most of the games this week should be exciting and we’ll find out who the true contenders are in the Big 12 Conference. Will Oklahoma survive the curse of being ranked No. 5 in the USA Today Poll? Can Texas A&M win in Lubbock for the first time since 1993? Which, if either, was a fluke: Colorado beating Oklahoma, or Kansas State losing to Kansas? Is Kansas a legitimate Big 12 North contender? Will Baylor win a conference game this year? Whose defense is worse: Oklahoma State’s or Nebraska’s? We’ll see on Saturday.

I graduated from Texas Tech University in 2007 with a degree in Mathematics, hence the name, RedRaiderMath 2007. I am one of Texas Tech's biggest fans when it comes to football and men's basketball, maybe THE biggest. We're looking forward to a great year of college football with the original "Greatest Offense in the World" and it gets better every year. Wreck 'Em Tech!!!
