I wonder why the"Jr. Nation" can't listen to and take cues from their "idol"? Jr. said Tony Jr. told him before he got out of the car that it was a racing deal that Kyle had gotten loose under him and that if he wanted to wreck him the previous corner would have been that spot. Jr. was upset, but more at himself for going for the win instead of the points. He had been a 3rd place car all day. What made him think that just because the 1st place car fell off the pace that his was all of a sudden a 1st place car? He tried to pinch Kyle down and it cost them both, Kyle the win and Jr. the 2nd place points he deserved! Jr. is bad about that. Just ask former teamate Michael Waltrip. Jr. took both of them out at several races.
I myself am a Jr. fan but I love the sport more and I agree that the Busch brothers have been and will be good for racing! It's the no-holds-barred, every man for himself, leave it on the track mentale that built this great sport and made it famous. Nascar mandates that everyone uses the "same" equipment, (i.e. horsepower template built cars, gears etc.) meaning that the drivers are the difference, some better than others. It's no coincidence that Kyle consistently runs up front has a chance to win every week. So I would have to agree that he is every bit as good and talented as they come.In fact I will go so far as to say that Kyle Busch will go down in the history books next to names such as Dale Sr.,Cale Yarborough , D.W., Jr. Johnson, Rusty Wallace and yes maybe even Dale Jr. I am glad to see that Kyle doesn't give as much thought to us as Kurt did. Kurt let the criticism change the way he drove. I used to enjoy the fact that he drove Rusty's car like Dale Sr. (That pissed my Mom off) So I say GO ROWDY!!!
Rebel...thanks for posting the truth. Jr sholuld have stayed in the high line that he had been using, and been satisfied with 2nd place. But, Nooo, he had to pinch Kyle down and cost both of them a better finish.
Very nice blog. I agree with you. Kyle got loose because Jr. pinched him down. Thus resulting in Jr. going for a spin.
As far as Kyle's attitude goes. He has the same, attitude characteristic as Tony Stewart. And this attitude will take him to many wins and championships.
All 3 of you are RETARDS!!! Jr is the one who has been running up front EVERY race and has a good shot at the win. Only difference is that he doesnt wreck the other guy.
AND Jr. was the one in front of kyle, so kyle should have been the one to back off and not cost them both their positions.
You dont have to run in the front to be the winner, some drivers lay back until the closing laps..DUHHHH!!!! and after Dennys tire problem, Jr. had the best car , maybe even before. You never know what Jr. was holdin back. Looked to me like he was going to catch Denny anyways. After all, after 380 laps Jr. was still right behind Hamlin, so he must of had something going. Hanahan- I have read some of your comments on other blogs and dude, you have not a clue.
and Tsfanpc- enough with the "pinching garbage" youve burnt it out already. Yeah Tonys attitude = suspension. We all know that.
HMS2488,
You are a disgrace to HMS fans. Hanahan knows more about racing than 99% of the people who visit these pages. For you to not respect his knowledge shows how little you know about racing. Guess there have to be losers like you rooting for every team but as an HMS fan, I'm embarrassed to have you rooting for the team I love.
