It is rare that myself pays too much attention or responds to professional journalism but the article by Jason Whitlock on the $225 million suit against Nascar brings up a reply to his article.
This article is totally biased in that Nascar has been neglegent with treatment of their employees and Mauricia Grant's claims are going to result in a windfall. Maybe it is true or maybe not but it is also true that all have their day in court and the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
This law suit will not affect Nascar's ability to conduct operations nor will Whitlock's article have any bearing on the outcome of these allegations.
What this article does is put FOX journalism in a different plane that I will never fly. Just wait till Hanny gets back.... LOL.
Being unbaised is supposed to be one of the fundamentals of good journalism.
This article was not a good write but a carnival ride and definetly not good journalsim.
The terms unbiased and journalism have been polar opposites for a long time... There's a reason CNN stands for Clinton News Network... Fox has maintained that it's news reporting and commentary is "fair and balanced". Well, in my eyes it is closer to reality than CNN, but ask a strong Democrat what they think of Fox...
Whitlock is a real piece of work... When is the day going to finally come when it's not us against them? When will it just be us? These things are just plain stupidity in action. I don't doubt that a few of the woman's coworkers gave her a bad time. That's the first wrong. So now it goes 180 degrees the other way and about a million miles out of bounds that direction... Bring on Al Sharpton yada yada yada... Who wins in all this? The attorneys. Who loses? That would be the rest of us...
Hey guy's. I hate this whole thing more than most. I have been a NASCAR fan from the very early 70's and have been to many of the "famous races" and have seen a lot over the years because of the connections I have.
To be honest and if you really think about Whitlock
s article and him being black, he really did a desent job.
He points out how lame some of the charges are and how typical they are in this type of venue to begin with.
What sucks is that nascar is trying to bring in everyone because of the all-mighty dollar and to h e l l with racings rich culture and tradition.
I don't mind seeing a black driver, if you can find one with world class tallent and CLASS to go along with HIM running in premier stock car racing.
But, I am sick of hearing rap music during commercial breaks when ESPN brodcasts a race. It don't fit!!!
Also, we already have a long standing culture following nascar. I hope they don't #### it up with political correctness from every angle and change what has always been a prodominately white southern sport. Let it stay that way and if anyone wants to join. Fine, but let it stay what it is!!!
Wendell Scott went through the racisim battle. On Dec 1 1963 Wendell won at Speedway Park in Jacksonville. I belive it took till the next day till the officialy gave him the win.
I hope with this we are not dealing with a blind eye of nascar. I kinda see a little gold digging hear with the fact nothing was done during her time while being employed. I hope it comes clean and we learn the real deal. And if there is racist and sexist acts done, the are dealt with fair and harsh.
Nascar is a family sport. I dont want my son to see this side of it. Racisim is a bad part of are culture. I wish it didn't have to be. I hope we all can get past this. Black, White and everyone in between are the same. My heart beats and my blood is red. Peel are skin and you couldn't tell the diffrence.
I bet this guy swore the boys from Duke were guilty because they were white and privilaged just like NASCAR is guilty because they're southern. Who is really predjudice here?
I live north of Washington DC in Frederick Maryland. My job is as an Automotiive Service Advisor in the Washington DC area..
My interesests are the Blues, Rock music, playing guitar and Nascar racing..
