Why Michigan Can Win...
Nov 16, 2006 | 2:35AM | report this

There is one place that Michigan and one Michigan player can turn this game...

Garrett Rivas, that's right. He has been in the pressure situations, made the clutch kicks.

Aaron Pettrey has not had to deal with game winning pressure like that on the road like Rivas. It could be the thing that makes or breaks this game for Michigan...

Sure Mike Hart, Chad Henne, Leon Hall, Mario Manningham, LaMarr Woodley, Steve Breston, Adrion Arrington, Troy Smith, Antonio Pittman, Ted Ginn, or Anthony Gonzales can change this game.

But honestly, it all comes down to special teams I think. And I think Michigan has the upper hand there. If this game is close, Michigan wins...

Loui-WHO!

Louisville was overrated, and Rutgers proved it. They blew a lead in the second half, and could not put Rutgers away. Supposedly this team was supposed to have a legit shot at the title game. Maybe people will realize that just because you win every game does NOT make you better then a team that lost one game.

Is Rutgers the number 3 team in the nation... not a chance. But I am sure everyone will be talking about how they are going to get no respect in the polls. They may be a good team, but they are not a contender. I expect West Virgina to prove that when they play on Dec 2. If not sooner.

For a team that supposedly had a shot at beating OSU, Michigan, Texas, or Florida they sure did not look like it.

So now I guess the talk is, who is #3.....

How Bad Is The BCS System?
Oct 28, 2006 | 10:43AM | report this

Real bad or real good depending on how you see it. If anyone watched Gameday this morning, they pretty much confirmed what I said eariler this week. If West Virginia, Louisville, and USC all lose (all three have a shot to drop one of their last games) and Michigan and Ohio State Stay undefeated to the Nov 18 showdown, the loser of that game could still be playing for the National Championship. And really only USC has to lose for that to happen given the distance between the 3rd and 4th place teams.

Is this good, or bad. Is the Big Ten really that good? Is any one loss team better then a 1 loss Ohio State or Michigan? Is this really the year that if this happens that the major confrences start throwing a huge fit? It really seems that this could really expose the BCS for what it is.

Or does it? Maybe Michigan and Ohio State really are the two best teams in the NCAA? If that is the case, then I guess the BCS would be fine.

Dou you think it could happen? Seems like it could if you do the math. Especially if the Michigan/Ohio State game is close.

I'm a 28 year old average guy from Las Vegas (if there is such a thing). I grew up 20 miles outside South Bend, Indiana. For the record, I am a huge Michigan and Broncos fan (imagine what I went thru as a kid). I started writing blogs this year. I must say I enjoy sharing my opinion and reading those of others here. Hopefully I don't annoy any of you too bad. Enjoy the reading, just remember that for what it's worth, it is after all my opinion.... Also I am a huge Star Wars fan, so ignore the avatar...
