Hey everybody! That was a great game to watch with all the Pittsburgh crew down here for my cousin's wedding. We had half of Bethel Park and Upper St. Claire in St Augustine, FL for it. The bride and the groom even were there - who needs a honeymoon when it's football season?
Just wanted to give a big thanks to everyone and a special thanks to DJ's Sports Bar on A1A South. They gave us a whole room, gave us great service, and the ladies on staff were quite knowledgeable (sp?) about the teams on today.
Take care , members of the Steeler Nation - and I hope all the wedding guests make it home safe to the 'Burg.
Hi everyone ! I was hoping you could tell me a place to get a LOT of Terrible Towels from. Does anyone know the cheapest place to get them from? I'd also like to ship them directly to my husband and his fellow members of the Steeler's Nation at Camp TQ. If that isn't possible , I'd like to get them here yesterday , so we could ship them and get them to the guys and gals by the Cinci game - My hubby's best friend is a Bengals fan , and they need lots of yellow in that place!!!! (Sorry , Carl! )
Isn't it funny how much a group of men - that I've never met personally, who live hundreds of miles away, that have no clue I'm alive - can affect ( or is it effect?) my mood so greatly?
Growing up in the Bradshaw era, watching games with my dad and grandpa, leafing through Pennsylvania Game News, listening to talk of mills and the pumps that ran them - that's probably what hooked me for life. My dad's been out of the 'Burg since high school, and my cousins are gone now, too - leaving just my Uncle Cliff, Aunt Pam, Uncle Tom and Ray and Florence up there.
I drove my husband to the airport today, while every bone in my body tried to concoct a plan for him to have to stay. He's so strong, so together. We hugged and I told him how proud I was of him, how much I wanted him to finish up the rest of this deployment so he could get home to us again. He just smiled and said , "We've got a lot of Steelers games to watch. I'll see ya after the Super Bowl , baby." Then he kissed me and turned to the doors, back ramrod straight , and walked like a man with a purpose to his flight.
Did I mention that this will be the third consecutive Super Bowl he will have watched from over there? Stinko.
Anybody with any insights on this week's game - please email me. My family sure could use a win. Our spirits are in the sh1tter right now.
Well, fellow members of the Steeler Nation, it was a wonderful day today - don'tcha think? I got no coverage on the #### tube of the game , but after the 4th quarter , I noticed the sun was a bit shinier , and my yard was gettin' a bit greener ( if you are from the Burg or nearby, yins understand the importance of a nice lawn ) .... Ahhhhh .... Whatta Sunday.
My hubby is home from Iraq for two weeks, my step son just marched across the parade deck at Parris Island Friday, my other step son got promoted to SGT, my son ( 45 lbs of lean , mean, offensive line machine ) pancaked a guy on the defensive line with the help of his buddy Tucker on Saturday (this Defensive lineman looked like he was 25 - ok , maybe more like 12 ), my Steelers won again - what next ?
I'm new to the whole computer blogging scene - I spend most of my time chasing after my herd of kids, going to dance and Pop Warner practices , and writing my hubby who is in Iraq. But I'll drop a line from time to time - e####all y about my Steelers !!!!
