Okay, thats not what this post is about. But you have to admire Shawn Marion. He has one of the most unorthodox techniques in the NBA. It has to be demoralizing when he makes that #### in your face. Nothing but nylon.
Anyway this post is about NBA FINALS predictions. thats right. its almost the midway point of the season and the real men are making their predictions now. only those with little to no cajones wait till the start of the playoffs to lay down their predicts.
Representing the West:
The Phoenix Suns
Yup, its true. Peyton Manning finally took a dump on all the doubters and managed to overcome his first half choke job against NE to get to the SB. Now it is Nash's turn to finally squash all the hate. Here is the teams that wont be going to the finals and why:
San Antonio: The playoffs are rigged and nobody wants to see these guys in the finals again it is hurting david sterns annual bonus. (by nobody i mean the general public. i personally love TD)
Dallas: Mark Cuban + my point about San Ant
Utah: Boozer is due for his yearly season ending injury
Los Angeles: Isnt this the same team they had last year.. swap devean george for radmanovic... add a rookie pg... and you still have a bunch of bums + Kobe. give Bynum another year or two and then I will take this team seriously. and get a PG. Farmar makes a nice backup but smush should be in the d-league
Houston: Yao is made out of chinese porcelain and T-mac has scoliosis. or something.
Here is what Pheonix has:
Western Conference Finals - made it 2 years in a row they have almost the same roster as last year except they have Stoudemire back which is scary. 3 all-stars in the starting lineup. and my main man Shawn chicken-wing-release Marion winked at some ESPN #### interviewing him saying, "ask me if this is the best Suns team after the season is over".
In the East:
Who cares?
Just kidding
I like the Bulls beating the Suns in the finals. 2 out of the last 3 champs have come from the East i have to side with the %s
Now he has 150 mil from MS and 100 mil from Nike plus Upper Deck, Bubblicious, and many other smaller endorsements. Why doesn't he re-negotiate his contract with the Cavs so he only makes $900k a year so his team can sign some good players?
Pain662 Aug 25, 2006 7:14 AM If the Jazz can stay healthy I think they will challenge the Lakers for the 8th seed. Either Miles or Randolph (maybe both) will be gone before the all star break. It may be another Harrington scenario where they get 1 player and a pick or 2.
Prometheusmrt Aug 25, 2006 7:17 AM challenge the Lakers for the 8th seed haha Lakers will be 5-6 seed this year. kings are worse, memphis might not make the playoffs, and the clippers were a one year wonder
shifty450 Aug 25, 2006 7:2 AM No way the clippers were a 1 year wonder, prom. They may not be in the hunt for the long haul, but at least a few more years.
and sorry to inform you the clippers aren't going anywhere for a while. brand is official, Livingston is bout to blow up, maggette just needs to stay healthy and the caveman needs to play like the caveman. they have a real good squad no denying that
Terry Aug 26, 2006 12:22 PM prometeusmrt you are crazy the lakers are finnished its over buy a box of tissues and get ready to cry. yes kobe is the best player in the game but the rest of the team is a joke. playoffs will never happen this year Wow clips are gonna be a lot better than the lakers. No one-year wonders here
