Whats goin on with those M's?
May 07, 2008 | 10:39PM | report this

Recently, the Seattle Mariners have been playing HORRIBLE. I am worried that they wont turn it around and may fall even farther back in the AL West. Realisticly, The A's are not that good. The M's (at their best) are much better. But right now, their bats are freezing cold. No one has stepped up and performed well enough to lift the team, and as of now Erik Bedard is a bust. Carlos Silva was a better pick up then him! I just hope that Mr. McLaren fixes this giant problem, because these M's are falling... and fast!

Get it together Seattle!

PN

If the A's aren't that good, how do you explain that they're up there with the Angels?

Not to be neg, but I'll root for any team that's not the Angels...or Yankees.

You don't know baseball. Bedard has pitched great. You have to score more runs than the other team to win games.

goutdaddy- don't you love how everyone automatically says that Bedard is a bust? How are you a bust when you have an ERA under 2.00, you have yet to lose a game yourself (and by that I mean that you can't win a game with no runs support no matter how few runs you give up) and you continually pitch better than the opposing pitcher only to have your team not score because they can't string the hits together. Lets review...Bedard has now pitched 2 (two) 2 (two) hit games...He has yet to allow more than 3 ER in a game, and he is finally striking out far more batters than he is walking. Bedard is a beast, and as soon as the M's get their offense going, they will be able to put a whooping on any team they face. Silva has been good, but Bedard has been better, and will be better, for the forseeable future. Bedard was the best pickup of the offseason so far, for any team, because he has been pitching better than any other pitcher that was traded for except Edinson Volquez...the guy who wrote this blog needs to accept that Bedard is WAY better than Silva (so what if he went on the DL...he's pitched better since coming back) and that the M's only problem is scoring runs.

Bedard has not been a beast. He has yet to make a big splash. And actually Silva was the M's best player in april... so check your facts

I have my facts straight you ####. Bedard has yet to give up more than 3 earned runs in a game, and for the most part has held opponents to 2 or fewer...Silva has been solid, but Bedard's ERA is under 2, Silva's is not...Statistics ARE facts...don't be an ####.

In case you didnt know... bedard has been on and off the injury block. Silva has pitched more innings and has had more opputunities... so calm yourself down. We are al fans here and theres no damn reason to fight.
