I think that Greg Oden will be next seasons rookie of the year. It may be early to say so, but i feel that he has grown tremendously (mentally and physically) this season during his injury. He is going to come into next season pumped and ready to dominate in the post. He will either be a GIANT bust or the future of dominant big men in the league. Only the time will tell. . .

Portland has a good core of talent, should be some epic battles in the middle with Bynum & The Caveman, Oden.

As a Blazer fan let me say, no chance in hell he gets ROY next year. he has probably the most un deserved hype in the history of the sport!!! Should have picked DURANT!!! Thats harsh Hookem. I think the kid will be OK. As far as Bowie, we needed a center. We didn't need an off guard we had Clyde. And I think Clyde turned out OK. At the time nobody new Jordan was going to be the player that he turned out to be.

The history on microfracture surgery is mixed & many cases never get to the pre-injury level.
Oden doesn't have a track record of being at a high-level either - one college year means little in the pros.
I'm a hugh Blazer fan & I WANT all the Oden hype to become reality, but let's wait & see. Portland's luck/history/karma are not on our side with Oden being the savior. I DO hope I'm wrong.
