Adrian Peterson is not just the rookie of the year, he's the rookie of the century! Watching him dominate the Lightning Bolts is like watching no other RB ever. The best comparison is to Eric Dickerson, but Peterson breaks that mold with his movement. He appears to be one of those few athletes where there are no comparsons. He is writing his own legend with each and every game.
And those poor Chargers ... with their equally sad-sack Coach ... let the Vikings put the smack down on em like ... well, they punk'd 'em. They man-handled 'em. They handed them their lunch, saying sorry bud, we don't eat quiche.
It was a rough game with guys going out limping and on stretchers. Big plays and big hits ... Just the kind of stuff rabid fans adore ... hard-hittin' take no prisoners kind of game.
Still, if Pererson can stay healthy, at the end of the year we may be looking at the greatest NFL Rookie of all time!
AP is amazing. He attacks the line at full throttle. Cutbacks, jukes and redirects are going to hurt plenty of DBs, if AP doesn't blow out his knees first. Any other Rookie of the Year candidates should forget about it now. Minnesota has the best player of the 2007 draft.
The only weakness I see is AP's inability to lay down when the run is over. This caused a late fumble.
In high school and college I led my teams as a middle line backer, running back, and point guard. Now, I'm known for my poetry and other arts. Still like to talk sports on any level.
