The New England Patriots are not just good, they are giving the word a new definition. What it is to be good in the NFL is being redefined by the Patriots. They are scary good. They are we don't reallly know if we want to suit up and play 'em good.
I want to hate 'em ... but I cannot. They are that good. The guy that loves to hate can't hate on 'em.
When you team one of the most acurate NFL quaterbacks ever with one of the best wide recievers ever and this is what you get ... the dominating awesome specatacle that is the 2007 New England Patriots.
Can anybody stop them? Do the Colts have a chance next week. Are the Colts the only obstacle for the unstoppable Pats?
We could be witness to a special year for the Patriots. It's up to the Colts to stop this east coast empire that smells of clam chowder and ivy. Now I remember why we love to hate 'em.
I have to agree that the Pats are not just good...they have once again cut communication to another team for an entire half. While it would be nice to believe that the Patriots are such a powerful team....I have once again seen that they do what it takes to cheat to win.
The Patriots had their communication for the whole first half, Washington did not. That is against the rules. A helmet to helmet not called, blatant btw, and Moss pushing off for a TD, not called. See where I am going here???
If I was Joe Gibbs, I would not have even taken the field in the 2nd half in protest.
Here is a question??? How is it that a top three defensive team, who has not allowed more than 20 points scored on them all season, end up being completely removed for a half? Does not make sense, and I just wonder when the NFL is going to listen to everyone in the league that plays the Pats and has all kinds of communication and other issues?
I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but not anymore. I actually makes me sick!
Ya cheating has caused redskins QB to fumble the ball 3 times cheating is what is causing them to lose by 45 points nothing about the patriots are just a much better team.
No the Redskins lost the second half of the game. But, the first half conveniently allowed the Pats to have communications, while the Redskins had none. 20+ points scored before it finally was straitened out. Which is a direct violation of the NFL rule book. If this was a first time thing...I would not think much of it, but when it continues to occur to opponents at Gillette...you do the math!
Give em their props, because they would likely have won all theses games regardless and still be 8-0, but watching the Skins/Pats game, i saw several of the same things they did against the Cowboys that went uncalled this week as well.
Push-offs by moss, clipping, and holding calls,.. Are the Refs intimidated by the Patriots too?
On the communication thing, One of the announcers was saying if one team doesn't have it, the other team is supposed to turn their communication from upstairs to downstairs OFF, until the issue is addressed, but that was not the case with the Pats.
Its tough to say if they are really that good, because they've only played 2 good teams so far, Cowboys and Redskins, and a lot of strange things have helped them in both games.(Very surprised the Skins havent played better. I seriously though they would make this a close game)
Guess we will know soon enough though.. Colts Vs Pats next week. They have no advantage vs Indy because Manning calls most of the plays at the line.

I think the lady was trying to explain that 7 or 10 point games that could swing either way very easily become 20 point games if the playing feild isnt level.
I agree ... it's very curious around the Patriots. Still, you get the feeling that they would be just as good without the little perks they get from being the league darling.
The pats are also giving a new definition to the word of classless. Brady throwing for another TD with his team is already up 38-0 in the 4th no one can possibly defend that not even belichick can say oh we we're worried that they might come back. You can be dominate and still play with class as much as i hate the colts at least they dont run up the score. And you know their still cheating their just doing it differntly now that they were caught.
You know I have respected your opinion on a lot of things, but that was uncalled for. I am stating that the Redskins lost the second half of that game, but once a level playing field is removed to benefit a team, who in my opinion, is good enough not to need to do that, then I have a right to be aggravated. As a matter of fact I challenge you to find where I have cried about football, other than stating my opinion here.
VBchick has a great article posted giving tons of props to the Patriots, so read it before you bust out with the trash talk, just because she's a Skins fan.
Thanks so much my friend. Every team has complained in some form or another about bizarre occurrences while playing the Pats. I find it hard to believe thirty-one teams are the ones in the wrong. I think it just blows my mind that so many look the other way. There is no doubt the talent the Patriots have, which makes it that much harder to understand. Hope all is well down there in Texas!
Josh- It's Not your fault! We know that. Several Pats fan bloggers here even admit some questionable tactics and calls have helped the Pats. Comes with the territory of being on top.
A questionable winner will always be more scrutinized than a humble loser. Unfortunately, for Pats fans, you have to deal with people being skeptical ,and it will continue as long as video evidence keeps pointing it out.
As i said above somehwere, They are a great team regardless and would still be 8-0.
It just creates more drama when Billechich continues to ignore the integrity and sportsmanship of the NFL.

The showdown matchup: New England v. Indianapolis.
If New England loses the talk of their dominance will obviously stop. But we'll see just how for real they are. I think they are the real deal but I want validation.
The best offensive teams rarely ever win the Super Bowl but not every great offense have ever had a defense that can shut you down. I can't wait for next week.
There is nothing special about the Pats. Plenty of teams have gone this far and farther with an undefeated record only to lose in the playoffs. However, this Pat's team will taste its first defeat next weekend at the hands of their arch rival and mental menance...Colts.
Regarding the redskins, they only proved that they are a below average team.

SuperRad when you bury a team by 30-45 points NO ONE CAN SAY YOU CHEATED...and that's EXACTLY what Belichek's doing.
He's leaving no doubt in peoples minds.
SKINS FAN...you know you are one of my favs... but I think you are upset and need to take another look at the game.
SuperRad
Steve Spurrier has had the best line about trying to keep the score respectable in a blowout. Still, it is obvious Coach B is sending the league a message ... and it's all about cheating allegations. We have never witnessed anything like this in the NFL.
Classless? I can't think of a better word right now.
Texas
Remember ... the Patriots initial run to glory started with a call by refs that was more than curious; The Tuck Rule invoked against the Oakland Raiders. (Ain't it curious that the Raiders are the polar opposite of the Patriots in terms of image and can be called the incorrigible Brat of the league.)
The only way you stop a bad-#### bully from his playground rampage is by popping him so hard in the nose he can't see straight.
The Colts defense will have to pop the bad-#### Patriots right in the nose early this coming Sunday. They are as quick and hard-hitting as any defense in the NFL. Will they be able to shock the Pats by physically dominating the first half of the game? I think that will be the key.
No stolen signals, no non-functioning headsets, no whining about "running up the score", ... on November 4th - it will boil down to whether or not the Colts defense can bury their fists into Brady & Belichik's faces hard enough to make their world come crashing down.
And then meet them at midfield after the game and congratulate them on a good game and wish them well for the rest of the season. ... we are gentlemen here in Indy, afterall.
I cannot stand the Patriots....however to hear people coming out saying the was unprofessional for them to continue to throw the ball , etc even though the game is over......to #### bad.You know what is unprofessional? The manor in which the Redskins play. They are a joke and desevred to have the cake holes handed to them. If you don't want them to keep scoring you know what to do.....stop them, play d!!!!! What a joke......and yes there is No crying in football!!!!
Yes, to call the Pats classless may be harsh. But, I can't thing of anything better. That unwritten code of the NFL has very rarely been broken. It has never been tossed in the face of the league like Coach B is doing. This is unprecedented.
Dave in Indy, I too am looking forward to that game. Indy isn't getting the respect that the defending champs should. They say they don't care but I don't buy it. The Pats want redemption for AFC title loss. They are on a mission and I don't think they can be stopped. If any team can stop them it's Indy who can score on anyone and is playing great defense. Tell Polian to keep the dome at a nice cool 65 degrees and I'll tell Belichick to leave the video camera and frequency jamming devices in Foxboro. This is gonna be fun.
How interesting that the Raiders fan mentions the "Tuck Rule" play and forgets the Kenny Staibler deliberate fumble into the end zone for TD during the playoffs. Live with it..... The officials call the game the best they can. If they called every hold during the game nobody would watch the NFL.
The Redskins just got whipped by a better team. From what I saw, if they played 10 times, the Redskins would lose by 25+ points 9 times. Next week should be fun.
You know I have to laugh at this whole running up the score thing. These are PROFESSIONAL football players they are paid a lot of money to perform at the highest level. If you were selling a product and another person selling the same thing was not doing well would you stop selling so you didn't hurt his feelings?, No you would bury him because thats how it works. Every single player on that Redskin team should give Dan Snyder back their game checks because not one of them showed up for work Sunday. As far as the communication thing goes from what I understand the officials were not notified of the problem until after it was corrected. Had they been told about it they were obligated to make certain that the Patriots did not have it either. By the way where were all the bleeding hearts when the Bears destroyed the Pats 42-10 in the 85 superbowl and had "The Fridge" going in for a meaningless touchdown. Or the 49er's putting a humiliating 55-10 beat down on Denver in the 89 bowl?

They're a good enough team to have fans across the league lauding their praise. And they also have their detractors as well who'll say that they've not played anyone that's tested them.
That being said in their upcoming meeting with the Colts. We'll actually get to see what they're made of. As a devout Pats' fan it's the meeting that I for one have been waiting for.

Those SuperBowl games were a one-time special event type of thing. They are among the rare episodes when scores get run up. Coach B runs up scores every week!
Old School NFL calls it a major unwritten code break. Old School sees a lack of class. That's the way they looked at it back in the day.
Still, it's hard to hate on the team for doing their job. I think we like to hate 'em for other stuff.
Hey Top
The Colts and Manning are in the zone. There was a time when they faced the Patriots and you had hope. Now as they face the Pats you have confidence ... and bling!
Easily the most exciting matchup the NFL has ever had!

That's what makes the NFL so great here if you're a fan of the game. The same can't be said if you're on the other side of the Atlantic and had to adore that abomination on Sunday. See my latest piece titled Things One Shouldn't Have To Endure In The City Of London In The Fall !
Let me know what you think as to the merits of the piece ?
In high school and college I led my teams as a middle line backer, running back, and point guard. Now, I'm known for my poetry and other arts. Still like to talk sports on any level.
